Neca will be sold in Target's

NECA - N.E.C.A
1 hr ·

NECA @ TARGET
Beginning August 3rd!

On August 3, NECA is coming to @target!

We’re very excited to announce the arrival of the NECA section in all Target stores nationwide. Fans can find the new NECA section of action figures and collectibles in the entertainment area at their local store. Selection will vary by location, but expect to see both the latest and the greatest toys from NECA. New items will pop up on a regular basis, and there may even be the occasional surprise in store, so stay tuned!

So this fall try Target for your NECA TMNT stuff

Target has been positioning itself to be big in toys, especially with the demise of Toys R' Us.

Quote:
“We’re playing to win in toys,” Cornell told reporters in November a couple of months after Toys R Us filed for bankruptcy but before its announcement earlier this month that it would liquidate all of its U.S. stores. “We think there’s opportunity to expand share.”

They won’t be selling Henson figs nor will the Gamestop’s exclusive be anything to write home about. SDCC exclusive buyers unite!

Do we even know if they're offering additional TMNT stuff?

they can sell the 1/4th Henson in retail just not the 7 inch ones. You haven't even seen the supposed "gamestop Exclusive" ones so how can you tell they won't be anything to write home about?

This preemptive elitism is laughably pitiful.

Lol. I see it as extreme premature buyers-remorse. It’s possible he is right, but it’s not a good look at all.

I hope they do, too. I really do. I hope everyone can eventually get a set and the line continues and evolves. I am just a sucker for exclusive packaging so it’s one of the big reason I want them as that VHS box exclusive is just damn cool. Stupid I know but I already have all the figs in 1/4 scale so this is just a cherry on the top kind of thing. Really a great time to be a turtle fan.

Sorry but I want all collectors to have a shot at getting the figures they want. Besides I'm sure there will be something that makes the SDCC Exclusive different than anything else that comes out.

Same here. I don't care about "the hunt" or rarity of something. If Scratch were the most common figure, I'd still have him in my collection... it just wouldn't have cost me $80.

Looks like NECA will have half of a 4 foot section once it’s filled with merchandise.

How are the toy departments at your Targets? There are 3 I frequent in my area (not for toys), but when I walk through them the isles are always a mess and half full....and they are pretty small. These are the large Targets that are also a 1/4 size super market. The "grown-up. entertainment" toy area is by the video games and DVDs and has always looked like the pic above. Wondering if they will try and get their act together by X-Mas and increase their space/stock with no more TRU in the game

For the retail line which currently is the 1/4th scale figures? Probably not a whole lot.
