The biggest problem I can see is they always seem to be switching factories overseas. Don't cheap out and find a factory that doesn't have their heads up their asses.

The part where you said send defective heads in for repaint. Have not heard of them doing that period. The replacement I know they have done.

All of the Raphael figures I had sold quickly to people who got derpy eyed ones. I still have several Don, Leo and Mike left.

Just wanted to share this short Instagram video I made with my SDCC set yesterday. It was fun taking them out of the case and messing with them for a bit. I think they display well with the old Party Wagon.

Received my replacement case and tray from NECA today. It contained the turtles black plastic tray and clear slip cover. No villains tray as that was not busted so didn't get replaced. I am happy NECA upheld their reputation for good customer service.

That is kindof cheap for aftermarket. Though exactly the same as what I paid for every figure if dividing the purchase price by the eight figs. I would like to know the quality. I would hope the quality is equal to NECAs. I think they should be a little less of a price without the official NECA backing imho. Forgers be gettin' more greedy.

So long story short...is NECA actually replacing turtles with the derpy eyes and any other sort of issue? My Mike and Leo are a bit derpy, but I'm not sure I would've really noticed if it wasn't for this thread.

Many of the eyes aren't that bad. Some b*tch in Italy hassled me to take multiple pictures of Raphael for her. The last Raphael I had in stock was flawless, but she said the eyes were two squinty. She had bought three Raphael figures already trying to get a "perfect" one.

The weird angle they were going for to create that look where the wind is blowing the turtles bandanas around in the opening to the show is what caused the derpiness. If the eyes were supposed to be dead center, they probably wouldn't have had this QC issue, but since the black k had to be stamped on where the white turns in, many of them turned out uneven. I was fortunate enough to only get two sets of derpy eyes turtles out of 10-12 sets.

She might as well give up. Both of my Raphs had eyes I could get upset over if I felt like it (though I've seen much worse), but for a $25 figure it's really not that bad, and in any photos I might take it's not likely to be a head-on shot of Raph by himself anyway. Honestly, mine are within the realm of acceptable QC that I would expect to see at the toy store from any NECA line if he were packed alone, and I'd buy him there, so...not gonna be that squeaky wheel on this one.
