It?s not available.

It?s also another script that is “great according to Kevin Eastman”, so some may not have much faith in it.

I think the closest we come (movie wise) to a Mirage, 4Kids, IDW type of story the better off we are. In fact, with regard to film scripts, at this point the writer should probably just outright steal whole stories, plot lines and scenes from the 4Kids cartoon, at this point. Throw in a few creative flourishes to make it different. Just play it safe because no Hollywood writer seems to understand or be able to get the TMNT correct when it comes to films. That said, I really wanna read that script.

Now,
Please correct me if I'm wrong, BUT I've always thought that Eastman was the one most responsible for the street level, gritty NY style of TMNT because that's where his sensibilities lie. Is that true? It's what I love most about TMNT so I think that may be the reason why IDW has been so... great.

The primary reason why I'm interested in The Last Ronin is because of its influence from DKR and because I know Eastman can make it gritty, serious and introspective.

I've heard Kevin speak to me personally with great passion over the phone about it (not to some news outlet, or anything, or something for public consumption) so I kind of believe him when he told me it was the best Turtles thing he's ever read.

I guess we all apply our belief in Kevin's words where we pick and choose then.

No word yet that I'm aware of. Last I saw was this preview... Supposed to be dropping in July or August still right?

I finally pre-ordered a variant.
I had my eye on the Santolouco and the Mike Rooth at first, but I ended up deciding on the second of the Khoi Pham variants, which is probably my favorite of the whole batch of variants, so I'm pretty happy with it.

Curious to see what y'all end up with.

It may be way too early to ask since the first issue isn't even out yet, but for those who are avid longtime comic readers/collectors and may have paid attention to the typical timetables of these things... any thought on how long it may be after all the issues are out that a collected hardback volume might happen?

Never really been a collector of individual comic issues, but I already know I want that hardback someday.

There are some great variant covers but the sheer number of them has short-circuited my collecting gene which has now left me feeling that I couldn't give two-hoots about collecting more than the basic covers.

I only buy in trade/hardcover as well and am very excited at the prospect of Last Ronin sitting on my shelf too. It will probably take about 1 to 3 months for a trade to be released once the series has finished in single issues. That's the timetable for most trades/hardcovers these days.

The days of different-sized mylar are kinda over, are they not? I think it's all just pretty standard sized bags that get sold these days. Not quite sure tho. Would Andrew or Leo know?

I totally forgot that boards came in half sizes and I haven't seen the 1.42 ml bags in years. I've been out of collecting single issues for so long it's ridiculous.

How far in the process of developing the five issues are they? I would assume at least two issues are completed awaiting print.
