Playmates 1988 10-Back Repaint (Classic Cartoon Colors)
Hello everyone, haven't posted customs here in a while because my Windows XP computer doesn't work with Flickr anymore, so I just started using Imgur and it works. Finished painting this set several months ago, wanted to do simple straight repaints of the earlier vintage TMNT figures to match the cartoon colors. No physical modifications done other than cutting out a new gray shirt for Shredder and swapping Splinter's robe with that of Shogun Splinter. Used acrylic and enamel paints, I have repainted: 1988 - Raphael, Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, Splinter, Shredder, Foot Soldier, Bebop, Rocksteady 1990 - April O'Neil I am quite pleased with how they turned out, the original figures designs with different color scheme to match the original cartoon. "One Good Turtle Deserves Another" "The Only Good Turtle Is Soup"

Such great work, man! Another example that really goes to show you how far paint apps can take a toy. Seriously awesome work....

The turtles are wonderful! I'm very nostalgic for the classic color scheme of the original line but these just look perfect!

Very well done! These look like the figures arguably should much closer to the advertised product in the cartoon. It is an understatement to say that I am impressed.

you did a better job than playmates with the "toon" series.
your work shows how many detailed were left unpainted and how a paintjob can higlight a design . they all look awesome but my favorite is master splinter!
