Next Mutation comic or stoybook adaptions?
Are there any comic or storybook adaptions of the Next Mutation series? Just wanted to know.

It's well documented that Peter Laird hated the show, and Image made a mockery of it in their advertising.
Based on that, I'll assume neither Mirage nor Image ever considered the idea. |

I don't think there were ever any comics based on the Next Mutation. If there were, none have ever turned up.
Closest thing is this fanclub booklet that Playmates sent out to members: http://tmntentity.blogspot.com/2015/...ion-green.html It's just character bios with production artwork, but that's as good as it gets. Wikipedia says there were some Venus de Milo text stories that were on the official website in the 90s, but were quickly purged when the show was cancelled. I dunno if those were ever archived or if they're lost forever. |

Yeah... they hated it. LOL do you know where I can find some of the advertising .. I'd like to see what they did to make fun of it.

I couldn't find it but it said something like "100% free of girl turtles". Kind of obvious what they're making fun of.

Maybe not adaptations, but there were books based on the universe:

There were four coloring books, though.

Thanks for posting those, Jester.
Never thought I'd see an A.C. Farley take on The Next Mutation. |

It never cease to amaze me, how much better TNM designs look in cartoon forms rather than costumes in the show.
As for Venus letter - I have old site archived, so if anyone want I can sent them my copy of it. |

If those aren't available anywhere else, I think they'd be a cool piece of TMNT media to have out there. I know I'd like to cover them on my site if the story elements in them are meaty enough.

I'm a tad curious what the artwork looks like in these books. Too bad nobody has any scans.

I think aside from the basic toy line and a single subset (camouflage), VHS release of East Meets West arc there were the letters from the TMNT which chronicled a soft continuation of the series. Each turtle had their perspective on an event that occurred with them on a monthly basis for between two to three years. One that sticks out was Rat King kidnapping Splinter, Raphael, and Venus.

http://mutantooze.org/wiki/letters/ I tried cataloging them for TurtlePedia but my brain started breaking at some point.

Thanks!
I'll read through them and see if there's an efficient way to summarize them for my site and give them a review. |

It actually looks like they don't have any cataloged from before Next Mutation. I found some for the turtles other than Venus from before she "joined" on the Wayback machine. By the same measure they have at least one Venus set that I didn't find on Wayback, either.
