Almost every episode of MMPR was akin to a new mutant, robot, or human side character of the week episode of the 1988 syndicated FW cartoon series and 1990 CBS FW Saturday morning cartoon series.

Anyone else thinking it's kind of weird to have what is clearly the Fred Wolf design of Shredder standing next to what is clearly the 4Kids design for Karai? Very odd mix of character design.

This issue is getting great reviews from across the web. Unfortunately, in a world where Scott Snyder is the cream of the crop, I have faced the realization that comic book reviews hold very little value to me.

Curious to hear impressions here though.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected, considering it's been a long time since I last gave a crap about the MMPR. Funny how I still recall all the basics...

Speaking of, maybe someone more versed in that franchise can explain this, but how do the Power Rangers even know who Finster is? Did they ever meet?

The MMPR most likely learned of Finster through Alpha 5 and Zordon or an encounter in the Boom! Comics comic book series.

Thank you. I'm only familiar with the TV series and I couldn't remember them ever meeting there, but you're most likely right in that they were briefed about Rita's henchmen and their roles at some point.
