i like this set and was able to score it, but only thing is, while I do love the Turtle Van box art, just wish they'd have gone with something else, the Turtle Van has been done to death imo

I love the box, but I couldn’t justify it because I’m not interested in the figures. If Playmates lean in more towards their classic box-art style for future releases, they may make a customer out of me. I don’t think I‘ve bought one of their toys since the 2007 movie.

I agree with several of you in here, that the box is the best thing about this release.
How many re-releases will we get of the classic figures?! They feel so much more cheap and crappy as opposed to the authentic original released figures. This was an easy pass for me, but I hope all whom want it get it without having to pay scalper prices. |

The Party Wagon was the best vehicle of the original Playmates toy line for me.

Sounds like Playmates might've saved themselves a ton of money if they skipped the figures and just sold boxes.

Yes, actually, I'd have bought a box to put my 25th anniversaries in for like $20, lol

Yup. I bought a set--going to jettison the figures and keep the box. Haha, after fees and shipping, I'll probably end up paying like $50 for that dumb box!

It would make sense that any unsold from the original promotion would make their way closer to mass market releases until the inventory is depleted. If a run is announced in terms of 5,000 units then there are probably something like 5,250 actually produced for a variety of reasons. |

hey don't get me wrong dude, I didn't say i didn't like the box art, I'm just saying the turtle van has been done to death, i'd have been happy with box art resembling the sewers or perhaps something else, after all, Shredder is included with the set, so why not something villain related

Just like the skin on fried chicken. The box is the best part!
Looks like everyone has the same idea of just wanting the box. By reasoning of supply and demand, that should be the most expensive part and the cost of the figures negligible. They should just sell the box. I already have all the figures! |

Fleabay is going to be flooded with the classic collection figs... and the box it self will probably be listed by some scalpers for $89+.

I agree with you. A Mutant Module or Footcruiser box set with Shredder, Krang, Bebop, Rocksteady, Slash, and Baxter would be great for the fans. I think Playmates lost the Baxter mold to a fire in the 2000s. |

Maybe if this does well and a future set is planned there can be another theme. Sadly I don't think Playmates gets that creative unless it's playsets. |
