I don't have Netflix though, not into the whole paying a monthly subscription to stream movies and TV.

It's also repeated in the mornings around 7AM.

There's about 50 episodes overall.

This "Meet The Cast" feature reveals an early look at Count Duckula (voiced by Ramos Hardicker), also confirmed is Richard Ayoade (The IT Crowd) as The Snowman.

I found this one on 4chan...suffice to say, there's already porn of Sqawkencluck on there

As I said before, I'm cautiously optimistic here. The voice talent is excellent (even though nothing can replace David Jason and Terry Scott) at least.

Curious bit of follow-through there from the original series, given the original Squawkencluck was male and he was attempting to breed... giant chickens. So they make the new Squawkencluck female and... a chicken!

*facepalm* about that 4Chan comment. Seriously?!

Saw count Duckula! I wonder what size he will be? He was the same size as DM in the original.

That was an alright premier. Liked all the oddjob rounds DM had after he got fired, the parking ticket one even became a pivotal plot point at the conclusion.

The bits with the split screens was funny...they basically have to share the same sets as the crime lab because of a budget cutback.

They managed to sneek in an arm being cut off and excused it as being just Col.K's hologram. There's even a reference to Red Dwarf when DM theorizes that it uses hard light beam technology.

Another callback was showing where the original Frog's Head Flyer from the classic series was stored (I'm not that big a fan of the new design in comparison)

"Greenback's reformed, he said so on a chat show, if you can't trust that, what can you?"

Loved that the I-Patch has a ring tone, that and the newspaper disguises, Penfold even tries to answer a crossword on DM's disguise.

Plot was a bit all over the place, and I feel DM acted a tad too incompetant, but it had plenty of decent action, and I'll tune in daily for the 15-minute episodes

Yea not bad, some of the animation looked odd on the CGI type background. Some funny one liners, captured a little British charm. Liked the way they sorted out the Post office HQ at the end.

Top notch episode today. Loved Penfold being as boring as possible, and even preferring vanilla flavour ice cream. Dangermackrel had my sides splitting when he got gobbled up. Giraffe Warriors Gold is another good example of a silly joke becoming pivotal to the plot later. This ep was also a great little satire of all those weird combination monster figures you see in the market nowadays.

They even snuck in a tentacle rape joke (poor Squawkencluck)

Here's the first episode in case anyone outside the UK is curious (not sure how long this will be up)

I actually like this episode more than the first, thought it was funnier. I think the 11 min format worked better than the 20 mins.

Only the first episode was 22 minutes to set the scene, the rest of them look to be 11-12 minutes long. I've enjoyed both so far, it's slowly winning me over despite my fervid devotion to the original 80s series.

Cool.

I had find memories watching DM on Nickelodeon as a kid. While they are at it why not bring back Count Duckula.

Another great episode yesterday. Squawk is becoming a highlight of the show, we get to see she's not all business and can let her hair down, and she really loses it when she learns DM breached her lab. Too bad their dinner date was ruined by the floor caving in

As pointed out previously in this thread, they are bringing Duckula back, he makes an appearance in this series.

Thoughts on today's episode, "Planet of the Toilets"

-I liked how DM's hunch was right and even the food was trying to take Squawk's invention.
Other highlights
-Penfold trying to hold his stomach together while the car rattled across the speed bumps
-Professor "John" Loocifer
-Rights for Toilets picket lines.
-"I'm no longer taking your...your...I can't even say it"

Yea, another fun episode.

I thought the villain was a bit too reminscent of the Powerpuff Princess character (hell her name is the same), but otherwise a decent ep. Quite liked how her home unfolded like a dollhouse. Squawk seems to put more love and attention into her own artefacts than people, Penfold actually looked sort of hurt she favoured her PEN over him. DM in drag was gold...and the narrator choosing to address him by his female alias at the end added to the fun.

Overall, a great first week. Show resumes on Monday, but I am very impressed with what's been seen so far.
