That's what my instincts tell me anyway. I hope I'm wrong, but hey, if not - oh well. I know it's divisive, but for me, Turtles Forever was TMNT's swan song. It felt like a nice end of an era for me. Ever since, I let go of getting all up in arms about little details like having three toes or nostrils or learning ninjitsu from a book. I hope for the best, but when it goes in the opposite direction, I just kinda shrug and go "oh well."
This.

I think the only thing I'm really Holding Out for her maybe some triceratons.

I didn't love the movie, but I remember it well - which is more than I can say about most.
Adds a little hope. I saw that it doesn't really look like this guy has much work under his belt which causes me concern. Not that a newbie to an industry can't be talented, but I wish there was a little more to go on. If Bad Words was decent enough then I hope it leans more toward that and doesn't end up looking like Space Jam. PLEASE don't look like Space Jam. I want them to still feel real, not cartoons in the real world.

Someday I hope the Turtles can be deemed worthy of getting proven professionals with well established careers. No offense new writer guy... just understand there's a lot riding on this. Like the last director, surely trying to put out a good film means something to those with short resumes.

I wish these producers were not in on this again. Someone please keep them and their ideas/demands out of the way. If they mostly see it in terms of dollar signs, then just throw the necessary budget money at it, get people who know what they're doing and let them do their job... Hopefully if you keep out of their way it will come out okay and you'll get that money back that you want. Don't ruin or jinx it.

As of for now... I'm just kind of glad to have something to try to find a little hope in, or at least hope that there will be reason to gain said hope, to counter the amount of feeling a bit bummed out that some of Rise's choices have caused. But we shall see...

With the continuing dino wave from Jurassic everything... Alien dinos could garner some interest. Too bad such a thing isn't coming out now along with the newest Jurassic World.

I would love to see a female writer/director for a TMNT movie!

They won't do it, but I would love to see them make the first comic, with all the gritty, dark tones, and traditional high quality costumes, using very little to no CGI.

I guess instead you will see grotesque unlikeable turtles.

I just realized Viacom is Shredder and Krang, and PD films are Bebop and Rocksteady. No matter how many times they fail, they keep giving them chances instead of firing them or replacing them permanently.

I would take CGI (not way overboard with the designs though) or if they did use suits, touched up with CGI as some have said.

Pretty good analogy. I guess that makes IDW Karai and Hun.

Need at least a couple total Turtle nerds involved in some way with the power to put their foot down if some dumb idea triggers a "hell no" red flag.

lol And Bay himself, as I figured a while ago, is the embodiment of Erick Sacks. Bleed them dry "even if it kills them" and is mostly focused on getting "stupid rich" off of them. Yep.

Can you imagine if they took notice of the demand for the Henson turtles via Neca toy sales, the rabid fan reaction to the Injustice 2 dlc, 90's nostalgia, and actually brought back that continuity, replicated the old suits with modern suits/computer animation?

I imagine it would be something like Star Wars fans seeing Han Solo come back in that Force Awakens trailer.

I've had that thought too, but it probably shouldn't happen. The right people would need to be involved, but clearly Paramount does not care about right people.

Well of course it would have to be a qualified writer/director! I'm not suggesting letting anyone do it. But I would like to see a woman someday!

That crossed my mind last night... Maybe they took note of the reaction to them showing up in Injustice 2.

Similar models, upping the realism a bit (but maybe varying their looks a little vs making them entirely identical), could work out okay.

I agree. I just want a talented and competent director who respects the source material as well the fans as well. I don't care of the gender or race of the director.
