Is it okay to nab an avatar from the ninjaturtles.com website? I saw a couple posted there that I really kinda liked. And they would do til I get my OWN avatar uploaded to my comp and then put up here. Same goes for my siggy-pic, which I'm also working on. As much as I love the Turtles, and always will, I really want an avatar that more individual and is more "me". Also, does anyone around here know a good host for such things? VillagePhotos.com is just NOT working out for the avatar that I use for the EZBoards forums and such. Any help in that direction will be greatly appreciated. Thanks muchlies.

P.S. How do I go about it, though? I'm a bit of a ninny when it comes to such things. My younger sister is better at it than me, admittedly.

Yeah, I don't see why that would be a problem. They're up on the site for you to use.

Is it free, like VillagePhotos.com? That's really all I can afford right now. If it costs to use, I can't go that way. I'll check it out, though. Thanks muchlies for the tip, Bowser_Koopa.

EDIT: I just checked out the site, turns out it IS free to use, and I just finished registering with it. I hope it works better than the other one, AND that I can use it on my EZBoard forums. Well, we'll see. I ain't gonna do it to day, though, as I need to do some other things first before I tackle that. Thanks again, Bowser.

Thanks, guys. I have an account at Photobucket.com now, but it never hurts to have a back-up, just in case something happens to the main one. I plan on registering at the one Hyper Metal Sonic recommended, too. Nice avatars that you BOTH have, btw. Hope everybody here likes mine, once I finally get them up. LOL I'll probably be the only person here who has a Martian Mouse as an avatar.

Er, Graphitti.net DOES host pics, doesn't it? LOL Maybe I just haven't found that part of it yet. Which would be just like silly l'il 'ol me. *blushes*

Actually, "Avatars must be no larger than 180 pixels wide and 250 pixels high." is the official rule ^_^
What's this mean then?

"Displays a small graphic image below your details in posts. Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 9 KB."

Edit: Whatever. I made you a new one.

Edit 2: What's the size limit for signature images?
http://www.thetechnodrome.com/frules.shtml

It's all in the rules.
The 80x80 is just what the Forum software tells you by default, Krang's rule is stated in that link.

Just press Print Screen..
Yeah that's what I do, also you can do it the hard way and find the img src in their HTML code, and put it in a new browswer window. With me that's all I do, save them on the harddrive. Those are not his images anyway, they are Mirage's or Fox Kids's, whatever company.

Heh. Finally figured out how to get my temporary avatar up til I get my PERMANENT one up in its place later on. Proves I'm not a TOTAL ninny-wit, I guess. As for my siggy-pic, I'll be awhile working on it yet. But stay tuned, peeps, it WILL be up here eventually. Ain't got my scanner yet, for one.

Thanks, Hyper Metal Sonic. I just might. But you cam PM me if you don't want to put it up here. OR just send me an e-mail. Whatever's easiest on you is fine with me. I could probably figure it out my self, but I DO accept help when I think that I need it. And with stuff like this I'm usually hollaring my l'il Mousey head off FOR help!

Well, try it out yourself. If you get stuck or lost, or whatever, just PM or e-mail me and I'll help out.

...why print screen? Couldn't you just right-click on the image and go to "save image as..."?

Edit: Oh yeah, I'm actually considering going through my DVDs and finding other neat scenes to screencap and convert to avatars. Then submit a crapload to the site...should I? (BTW, I'm the one that submitted the "TMNT undercover" avatar that oldmanwinters and whitewolf89 is using )

Thanks, I will. And rest assured, bro, if I need the help (which I probably WILL!), you can count on getting a PMed "Help!!!" from me for sure.

I've been thinking about the "Print Screen" thing so I can put my current desktp wallpaper as my "Deviant (Devious?! ) Desktop" on My DevArt Page. Don't have the FOGGIEST idea HOW to do it, but I'll figure it out eventually, I suppose. Just generally TAKES me a little while, that's all.

YOU did the "Undercover TMNT" avatar?! WAY cool!!! I picked a good one, then. You do excellent work, bro. I don't suppose you have one that I could use for a temporary siggy-pic, do ya? Just curious.

EDIT: And as to doing more screencaps for avatars and stuff, I, for one, say "Yes!", you definitely should. You do neat work. IMHO.

Ah, yeah, if you want to take a picture of your entire desktop, print screen is the way to go. When you hit print screen it copys an image of your entire desktop to the clipboard. From there, you can paste it into a program such as photoshop, paint shop pro, or heck, even paint.

Yeah, I did that avatar. I'll make a bigger version of that scene for you for your sig. Be back in a moment.

Edit: Here you go.
