Jeff Bezos Overtakes Bill Gates To Become World's Richest Man
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.for...chest-man/amp/
Not surprising considering that Amazon keeps raising the price of TMNT figures and I'm sure that is the reason. |

That kind of annoys me that the guy is even so rich, given that the business is doing damage to other retail and that Amazon is a pretty terrible place to work, both warehouse (speaking from brief experience) and horror stories I've heard about how bad it even is at their corporate offices. It's like the future of retail is half the country working for Amazon and being miserable.

You will care when they're the only player in town and can raise the prices as much as they want, it's economics 101. Right now we shop there because we want to, but then we'll shop there because it's the only place left.
With that said if people don't like working for Amazon then why do they? Quit. While it is scary at how they can get in and destroy any market, they really do deliver the best service and prices. I've been shopping at Amazon since the early 00's. Amazon's story is awesome, Bezos actually invested money during the .com crash and he originally mentioned how he was in the market of books and now he is quoted as saying that he is in the market of providing what costumers need" Spoiler:

Cheap? What stuff are you looking at, most stuff I see is average to overpriced. lol (Excluding third party sellers.) Ebay... now there is the king of awesome cheap stuff.
People do quit and/or don't make it long, they have a heck of a turnover rate. But people need work and get tempted by the starting pay. They hire a lot via temp agencies that don't disclose in the ads who the job is even with. You could work yourself to the bone there best you can and still possibly not be good enough to their liking. Workers are very disposable to that place. Have had a warehouse faculty in my area for years, and another opened a year or two ago... plenty of jobs with those, always hiring... too bad it's miserable and hard to keep. Personally I'd have preferred working with the orders on the computers, but no, they put me in the packing line which I'm just not speedy enough to their liking. Don't know about now, but at least a back then you didn't even get to choose or have any say in what you would want to do there or be good at. Never got to do stuff I'd actually be a better asset in. It's almost like we shop for and prioritize different things.
