Reading Huckleberry Finn at school. Initially I didn't like it, but progressively it's growing on me.

I just finished Dark Moon by Meredith Ann Pierce. It's more for younger readers, but it has unicorns and was actually quite good.

Now, I'm reading The Obelisk Gate by NK Jemisin. It's the sequel to The Fifth Season, which was a disturbing but very good book. I am also reading Somewhither by John C Wright on my Kindle (for times when I can't bring a physical book with me). A very weird book so far, but I'm actually enjoying the weirdness.

Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.

It was written over 100 years ago, I've read it before and Eponine's death still gets to me. I had to put it down and mourn for a fictional character.

RIP Eponine 6th June 1832.

I just finished Star Wars: Catalyst. It was a prequel to Rogue One. Not much happened in it. Everyone sat around and argued throughout the entire book. I enjoyed the scenes with Tarkin, Poggle The Lesser, the Kyber crystals, and Krenic, but that was about it. There hasn't really been a lot of action in SW novels for a while, and I miss dogfights and epic space battles. Now I'm reading book 8 of Simon R. Green's Nightside series and enjoying that one.

Just finished rereading (again) the entirety of Scott Pilgrim. All six volumes and the Free Comic Book Day issue. Man, what a trip. Seems like these books get better every time I read then. Definitely recommend them to anyone who's interested in a good story filled with action, emotion, character, fun, and lots of awesome references.

The Last Battle by C.S. Lewis. I remember the ending blowing my mind when I read it as a child.

I am currently working through 'From Colony to Superpower: U.S. Foreign Relations Since 1776' by historian George C. Herring. It breaks down the foreign affairs into thirty year sections and acts as novellas working together to create a nice comprehensive account of how the United States approach evolved as it aged and adapted to the world at large. I would recommend it to anyone looking into the United States relationships with other countries and you don't have to read every section just what interest you, as it does cover all the way through the Second Persian Gulf War.

I had to read that book in my English class for my senior year and I hated it.

Currently reading Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth. Most people know her as the author who wrote the Divergent trilogy. This book is very different and is more science fiction based but very well done and keeps me reading which is a good thing. Can't wait to see how it ends.
