What is the in-story reason for revealing his identity to the world? I thought he prided being a normal Earth human and able to protect Lois and his parents among others as Whatever Happened To The Man of Tomorrow proves. Green Arrow might as well go public. How many blonde beard goatee men are there in Star City? Especially with Oliver Queen being a public figure.

Clark just feels it's time to be more truthful, in light of the revelations about his father Jor-El's hand in Krypton's destruction and his new responsibilities to the United Planets as Earth's president. Also, he doesn't want Lois slut-shamed after she was caught making out with him while being Superman, making her look unfaithful to Clark.

But this is edgy and new! Even though I remember these same kinds of storylines in the 90s and 2000s, like the "Death of Clark Kent" around Superman #100.

Whenever Bendis gets bored on the book or when DC figures out that nobody cares that he's writing it, they'll have Zatanna will make the world forget it or something.

April solicitations are out and there's nothing there that grabs my attention, feels like everything is again in holding pattern mode until the summer/fall when the next set of adjustments/relaunches occur.

I see Catwoman is getting a new creative team, and 'Ric' is going back to his old Nightwing costume even if he's still not fully Dick again. Bat books are building to yet another Joker event.

Wonder Woman#750 kicked off the new post-Doomsday Clock timeline for DC, Diana debuts in 1939, and apparently the Bombshells are no longer an elseworld.

I am a fan of Dick Grayson as Robin so I went with which one looked cooler with him. I agree with the 2010 cover, but I am getting this for Mr. Grayson alone.

Tomasi has leaned on cults three times in under a year. There was the cult that was after Jim Corrigan and we just completed the two part story about the failed actor creating a Norse cult. Then right affter that Two Face has The Church of 2. Too many cults in too little time and Batman even references it in the recording he makes in the epilogue of Detective Comics#1019. Clown Prince and heir to the vigilante throne? Joker and Dick Grayson some how get involved? Perhaps whatever with the Designer and assassins arc will crossover into this?

That being said I did enjoy the norse cult story I don't want a repeated pattern of cults and forced continuity of other titles if Joker is involved in the end of the upcoming storyarc.

So Doomsday Clock happened in a splinter timeline also, revealed in today's issue of Justice League. And the idea is, again, that every DC title that doesn't "fit" with the the tie-in events or group and team up books is a splinter of reality, allowing heroes to be in multiple places and situations at once regardless of where they are in other books.

I was hopeful that The Riddler was finally being righted with the current Batman arc. If what we got a glimpse of in Batman#87 is an indication probably not. He was shriveled and naked watching Gotham for three straight months. That is his solution to improving himself after his conversation with Lex Luthor. I got shades of Jim Carray's Riddler in Batman Forever as well as Danny Devito's Penguin from Batman Returns. Tyion seems to be channeling the films from our childhood.

DC is always having reality altering ramifications and altering the characters usually for the negative. Marvel is not any better.' Tis comics I suppose.

More like it's early synergy with Matt Reeves' Batman movie, which features a lot of the villains that this arc is focusing on.

It's focused on the same quartet featured in Batman: The Movie and whatever shared secret they have. Probably will lead into Batman/Catwoman. So are these four the core rogues and Two Face, Mr. Freeze, and Poison Ivy not?

Tom King did a new word baloon podcast where he talked about Batman/Catwoman. He's only written four issues of it so far and Clay Mann is in full-on perfectionist mode and taking his time with the art, so god knows when this will be solicited.

The idea is for the series to follow the pattern of Batman Annual#2, so now we don't know if it's supposed to be canon or not anymore since that annual is one of those 'possible future' stories.
