Wolverine might be the first superhero to have a trilogy made entirely of terrible movies.

Origins: Wolverine? F
The Wolverine? F
<Wolverine 3>? ... Odds ain't looking good.

I liked the second Wolverine film... even if the ending was like a boss battle out of a video game.

That's the problem, both movies have really good stuff in them.

Wolverine Origins, Logan and Victor were both perfect. I LOVED Sabretooth in it.

The Wolverine's first two thirds are brilliant; but as soon as Wolverine wins the katana duel, the movie falls apart. Taken down by ninjas with arrows, fight a giant samurai robot, lose your adamantium... idiotic.

I really would have loved to have seen Darren Aronofsky's "The Wolverine." We would've, if Fukushima hadn't have happened. Aronofsky really hasn't ever gone wrong in my eyes.

This is what happens when you grow up on media drowning in singular token female characters, you get troglodyte mouth-breathers insisting what one woman says is what all women say.

Caught the longer Logan trailer before John Wick Chapter 2, could NOT be more excited about this movie than I am.

(John Wick was good too, though I think I preferred the first one more.)

Hot damn, rottentomatoes is now a 97%

https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/logan_2017/

Is this one of the highest rated superhero/comic book movies of all time? I'm too lazy to check, what did the first two Nolan Batman films get on rottentomatoes?

Hey dum-dum, you realize that the movie technically hasn't even come out yet? I'm not saying the critics are wrong, I'm saying that maybe hyperbole should be reserved until more people are able to have their say.

Even so, when you have 57 reviews counted so far with a fresh rating of 97%, you know most of the general public will like it too.

Look at Batman/Superman having a 27% rotten rating on the site, and a lot of fans didn't like it. I thought it was ok though.

No clue why you're taking Rotten Tomatoes' ratings as the end all be all of online movie rating systems.

Because the site generally averages all the top movie critics and combines it together. Of course it's not the end of all ratings people can have for a movie, but it still gives you a good idea if movies are good or not.

Yeah, I loved this movie. It lived up to my own hype and even exceeded expectations. Great, great film.

Edit: Also...yeah, I'd go so far as to say it's on level with The Dark Knight for me. I haven't been as emotionally involved in a true genuine story within a comic book genre in years.

I guess it's possible that in the post-DofP timeline, Wolverine never received the adamantium bullet to his head from Stryker to lose his memories. Though... there wouldn't be much reason for him to need any help from Xavier then.

But wasn't he acting like a complete animal when the gang rescued him in Apocalypse? I feel like there's something in need of recovering there.
Man, I hate that movie, and it's absolutely worse than Origins. I'm just ignoring it, as well as DoFP's stupid-ass ending.

I think Apocalypse has been the worst X-Men movie yet. At least the much-hated X3 had some great Wolverine stuff... like stabbity-stabbing Jean.

Apocalypse gave us the superior Quicksilver scene, and the sadly edited out Kids at the Mall scene.

Actually, I liked a lot of the slice-of-life stuff in Apocalypse.
