"Splinter" is a great record, too, but it's really short.
Cool - well based on your recommendations, I'll check them out!

Hells yes, classic Cradle FTW! I love Cradle, though their last few albums leave me kind of cold... I wasn't as fussed on Damnation and a Day or Nymphetamine, though they did have some good tracks - for my money, Vempire, Dusk & Her Embrace, Cruelty & The Beast, Midian and Bitter Suites to Succubi are my faves though. I am meaning to go back and try some of their newer stuff again though, just to give it a second chance to grow on me.

As for me, I'm kicking off my morning with the soundtrack to Dee Snider's Strangeland. Which - slightly off topic but has to be said - is a great little film, very underrated. I'll always be bummed out that we didn't get the sequel - and that the comic miniseries didn't get finished. Also the soundtrack kicks ass.

Weird Science. We just got done watching the Gargoyles episode Metamorphosis where Sevarius is babbling about his creation. Better half goes,"Is it real?" So that's how I wound up listening to the song.

I also listened to Cruelty and the Beast, but I didn't find that one very interesting (anymore). Still, Lustmord & Wargasm is probably my favorite song from COF ever, and Bathory Aria was really good too. I guess I gotta check out Dusk, since I have no recollection of that album whatsoever. I remember being somewhat disappointed in Damnation and a Day when it was released, but still I don't remember hating it. Bitter Suites had great songs too.

Based on my own recommendations, I put Offspring's "Splinter" back in the car since I hadn't heard it in forever. I'd almost forgotten how much I love "Lightning Rod". I've been alternating between that and the first album, just for kicks.

AFI's latest, "Burials", gets cycled in pretty frequently, also. It feels so very much like something that should have come out in the mid-80s, and I just love that. And I don't know if I'll ever fall so deeply in love with a song again the way I have with "I Hope You Suffer". AFI is another one of those bands I just can't help but love absolutely everything they've ever done.

Currently listening to The Bauhaus and I can confirm that Bela Lugosi is indeed dead.

'Wanted dead or alive' from the Rock of Ages movie Soundtrack.

Tom Cruise is a surprisingly good singer.

I've got the original pressing of that album on vinyl.

I bought it a month or so after seeing them play in a garage in early 1990.
