Burt Ward on Arrowverse set. Elderly Dick Grayson and Ace The Bathound? Retired likely, but did he ever don the Bat cowl?

Underwhelming but kind of neat.

Good question. Maybe he became some 60s version of Nightwing?

If Batman '66 comics are inspiration it is possible since he did in a time jump to interact with Wonder Woman '77.

The Anti-Monitor reveal:

I was expecting something a little more faithful than that, with how close they got the Monitor.

Stephen Lobo will be Jim Corrigan aka Spectre in Crisis. Kinda wish it was the same guy from the Constantine series Emmett Scanlan but whatever

The most intriguing thing is it is adapting a storyline in which the biggest victims were Barry Allen and pre-crisis Supergirl, the headliners of the second and third show in this continuity.

Also, I hope Earth-2 Robin will not be deemed a doppleganger that did not transition and have a dark spirit take him out like in COIE. come on Burt!

I'm glad they took this as a chance to throw him a bone and probably on the cheap... but c'mon.

Which is the opposite of what they said originally. But I'm fine with it. He can be one and the same as both (KC Superman and Donner Superman). That's way more interesting to me.

Yeah, really. A nice token gesture but even as an "older" version, the guy looks about as much like "Bruce Wayne" as I do. As in, "not at all, not even a little bit." BUT, that's the kind of "cheap pop" the people who actually enjoy these shows consistently pee themselves over.

Same thing with the Routh/Reeve thing. I can squint and believe that Routh was playing Reeve's Superman in "Superman Returns", that isn't much of a stretch. But NOW we're supposed to believe that the Reeve/Routh films ALSO had about a billion other super-beings existing within them, "just offscreen", something that is never, ever, ever, EVER even hinted at, but yet has to be the case for those films to organically lead to the "Kingdom Come" timeline. Like sure, suspend disbelief, and just accept that either the entire DC Pantheon of characters existed just off to the side of the camera in those films, OR that a ton of stuff must have happened after the end credits of "Returns", but man, those are some big logical loopholes to jump through for something that is essentially just fan-wank. They can SAY it's the same character and universe but it's up to the viewer entirely to explain how that works. And that's pretty silly.

Like it's "nice" but it doesn't really add or subtract anything. In fact it probably hurts a few things. Like, if Routh is Reeve, and those movies are canon to the Kingdom Come timeline, then... Jesus, Superman sure just kinda up and quits on being Superman a lot, doesn't he? I mean between Superman II, "Returns", and then him going off to pout once Magog shows up, that's at least three times when the self-appointed "protector of humanity" decides to take his ball and go home for nebulous reasons.

That's how you can tell they didn't really put any thought into it, and are just jacking people off. "Is KC Superman the same as Reeve?" "....Uh... Is that what you want? If I say 'yes' then will you definitely watch the show?"

Silly. Nice gesture but falls apart the second anyone thinks about it.

That's a really good point. That's a whole lot of quitting indeed. To use a wrestling metaphor... it's like, what's better? Being WWE champion 10 times and holding the belt for two or three weeks each time... or being a WWE champion and holding it like 5 times, a year each?

But obviously this is just "bonus round" sh**. If you do any sort of marathon watch of popping in Superman I, Superman II, Superman III, Superman Returns, and then pop in some kind of megacut of the new CW "Crisis on Infinite Earths," it will make about as much sense as a bag of pringles. I'm fairly sure, at least.

Superman III isn't canon to "Returns".

In fact, it's barely even canon to II and IV.

I get what you mean though.
