It would have involved me opening each package and putting batteries in. They werent setup for individual shipping which is why they did that I guess.

Couldn't you have still included the batteries in the shipment?

Did you or did you not receive separate packs of batteries for each canister with your shipment?

Since when did this stuff start coming with free batteries, anyway? Unless it's some sort of weird, proprietary battery, I don't ever remember getting free batteries.
I guess maybe with new TV remotes? Even then... talk about a cost-saving measure. |

It's pretty common for adult collectibles you will find in comic/hobby shops to include batteries, particularly if there's a window TRY-ME feature. They are usually cheaper off brand batteries. Since the mutagen canister is sealed in a windowless box with no TRY-ME, it seems unnecessary...
But to answer your question, since when did this stuff come with them -- since a long time. Look at the numerous electronics products from Diamond Select Toys for an example. I actually wish they wouldn't, because then if you want to keep it in package you have to worry about corrosion after the batteries expire. |

Sounds like an easy fix either way. Then again, I'm not big on leaving things in the tomb-like box. Unless they're crazy valuable... then yeah, enjoy your plastic prison.

So NECA just sent out a notice about their 1/4 scale TMNT line:
I am posting this for that tag at the bottom there. If your local shop had some on order for you, then they might be going up or your shop is eating it.

The likeness is so incredible, the head/body thing honestly doesn't bother me. The orange bandana is a bit intense in color, but otherwise a fantastic figure. They nailed the chucks.

It's not hard to understand why they do it, or why we might not want them to. What *is* hard to understand is why this particular product needed to include any at all. |

The consumers pay for the batteries either way. Companies don't just absorb the cost of including those little power sources. I'd rather pay a little less for whatever the item is and not use complete dog crap batts are included. Long live the Copper Top. They look great! Don't be greedy, NECA. Release a Raph accessory kit. |

So everyone that ordered their disguise Raphs from me should have gotten a shipment notification today. I thought the boxes I was getting were Casey masks, but looks like it was these disguise buggers.
COWABUNGA! Here they come!

There are lots of sellers parting this figure out on eBay already. If you just want the additional accessories, it is easily arranged.
