Planets orbiting GJ 887 discovered

Astronomers at the University of G?ttingen in Saxony, Germany have recently discovered the existence of two, maybe three, planets orbiting the red dwarf star of GJ 887. They're bigger than Earth, the largest known rocky planet in the Solar System, but smaller than Neptune, the smallest known gas planet in the Solar System.

So! Astronomers can see planets beyond our solar system. . . but can they see why kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch?

Not really news at this point. Interesting, but the number of exoplanets found now numbers in the dozens. Even a few of our nearest neighbor stars have at least a few. These are among the smallest found thus far, but otherwise not especially noteworthy.
