I resold my crappy censored version of The Fame Monster deluxe CD and I'm going to trade it in for a deluxe vinyl copy. I'm pretty much through with CDs at this point thanks to the Loudness War. I'll make properly equalized rips from the LPs from here on out (if a LP copy is available of course).

I picked Florence and the Machine's album 'Lungs' the other day. Can't stop listening to it, some of the songs are, for lack of a better description, beautiful. Seriously, its amazing, do yourselves a favour and get it. Now!

The quality of the vinyl lps coming out now is superior to that of the vinyl at its last demise at the end of the eighties. They use a audiophile quality vinyl and are mastered much better (I think they were mastered to sound awful when CDs came out to gently coax people to switch over to the higher profit margin format).

Antidotes by Foals. I loved a coupla their singles a a coupla years back, but never picked up the album. Finally got round to it, and its pretty decent. I used to be such a music hound, but have fallen outta the game a bit - only buying albums by bands that I know are 'safe'. Time to change that! Gonna start getting more albums again by bands that I wouldn't normally listen to.

Also, not a recent buy, but I couldn't really get into the Stones' Their Satanic Majesties Request. I had the ipod on Stones shuffle t'other day, and a couple of songs off the album came on, that I really quite liked. So i've listened to it a few times since, and its actually pretty good! Only two songs that I don't really enjoy, the rest are decent.
