I only have one SE figure... it's Cloud from Dissidia. I do quite like it, but the size is a problem. it doesn't go in scale with anything else. And i really don't think they benefit from the larger size. It's just inflating the price.

I used to collect Play arts figures before they got even more scaled up and wider license.
I have primarily FFVII and Advent Children figures, and a couple from FFX and Dagger from FFIX. I though the scale was huge back then, but the modern Play Arts are ridiculous, and they doubled in prize as well where I live. I love the Fenrir bike from AC, I used it for Raph in my stop motion series |

I think the price estimate is kinda high. I got my Dante (Devil may cry 3) for around $30 and Yukimura for $25; and I paid less than $60 including shipping for Shimazu Toyohisa even when it took me a while to order it after release; my point is that those figures have more complex sculpts than the turtles, but who knows. I'd really like a 2003 Leonardo with hacked shell... Last edited by Wherenoturtlehasgoneb4; 05-14-2014 at 01:14 AM. |

No offense, but you just joined this board and gave no source for that quote, so I can't take it all that seriously. I googled it, got nothing. Where was that posted?

No offense, but I added the quote using quotation marks because I was quoting, not because it was like that when I copied it; so you should've taken those marks out when googling it to get results . Anyway, here's the source: http://www.toyreviewdaily.com/2014/0...vealed-photos/ The part I quoted is at the end of the note, below the pic of Leo's extra head and pizza. |

I didn't search using the quotation marks, I know better. I pretty much live on the internet. Thanks for the link, though. Has some pics I've not seen elsewhere, which is nice.

What you think about the estimate price? I think is high since Raiden from Metal Gear was like $45 and the sculpt is much more complicated than these of the turtles. Woody was like $28. I expect the turtles to cost around $30, $35 at much, but I could've wrong. |

I have no experience in buying toys from this company, or others like it. I've not dabbled in the toy collectors market all that much, at least not outside of Playmates figures & whatnot. So I dunno if that's a realistic guess or not. I think it's pricey on general principle, but given how detailed they are I don't really feel the need to complain. I'm happy, funds willing, to pay a high price for a high quality figure.

it seems they follow buzz of the internet...so it could very well be they know we in america want them...hence the higher price point

Well if they think their Turtles will be popular, I hope they know that many people often want a Shredder to go with them. Maybe even his core group too or Splinter, depending on sales and what feedback they get. I know they did a few of the core bad guys from Transformers, hopefully they might do the same after the Turtles?

when these where first announced people treated it like a regular toyline, wanting a full figure line up and thats just not the case...look at figuarts i think they have maybe 2 full ranger teams out of the 35 or so figures like this are made in limited numbers for the collectors it will depend how well they sell and what they are allowed to do past the turtles
