I found out where the mini figures came from.
They are included with a book in the UK called 'My Busy Books'. |

The promo makes them look good, but their paint job is sloppy

The only one to show up here in the US so far is Mikey with the forklift. I found that at a Walmart this week.

I found all four of the construction Turtles along with Fireman Raph and Space Rescue Mikey today at two different Target stores. So they are out in the US now.

The other day when I was looking for the Ninjago Dark Island part 1 book I found another 'My Busy Books.' The figures were much taller and slimmer. I'll try to find a pic
(EDIT: got one) Spoiler:

I'm a fan of the whole space range, but the HSH turtles although the smallest of the three scales, end up getting the best work put into them.
I'm looking into preparing an 11" Don as he just will not be released. |

I posted this in the Toy Sighting thread but thought the information could be useful here as well. I found "new" HSH Collectible Figures at Walmart today.
Spoiler:
These are rather odd. They are marked as Collectible Figures and sold in blind bags for $3.49 each. But the bags aren't really blind. To start with, there is a small clear circle on the back of the bags, though I found it too small and poorly placed to ID the figures. And after a few minutes of trying to read the manufacturer's code imprinted on the bags to ID the figures, I realized that they gave each figure a unique UPC!!! The case I found seemed to be untouched or very close to it. I found thirteen different figures based on the UPCs and by feel. I only opened two as I wanted to see if they were the same as the previous versions or had unique paint applications. From the two I opened (Rocksteady & Dojo Mikey), there seem to be slight color differences, but I think they are just due to variances between production runs. Here's the ones I found: Character ----------- last 5 of the UPC Leonardo----------------96261 Donatello----------------96262 Michelangelo-------------96263 Raphael------------------96264 Splinter------------------96265 Kraang------------------ 96266 Bebop-------------------96267 Rocksteady--------------96268 Dojo Mikey---------------96271 Dojo Raph----------------96272 Dogpound----------------96274 Shredder---------------- 96275 Blast From the Past Leo--96277 |
