Those are awesome! I agree with Powder, hope that by the time these are released we get additional head sculpts so each Turtle's face is unique.

HAPPYNESS!!!!!

So glad to see TMNT out of Playmates grip
Even thought I was seriously planning to get the classic collection full set, Figurarts is too fantastic not to wait for these.
Janapese high-end manufacturer + great FW-ish design + displayable scale =WIN WIN WIN WIN

Anyway, as much as I love the original cartoon, I don't like the animated design.

I hope the Figuarts will also do TMNT from other incarnations, such as IDW, 2003, and so on...

Unfortunate that they went with the original toon... sigh. There's such a glut of that in the market, I won't be buying these. I am very happy with my Revoltech Nick turtles and these don't add much to my collection so, no thanks.

I'm sad because I really love Figuarts and have lots of Marvel and Star Wars figures from them. I just don't have interest in the original toon turtles in figure form anymore. I'm done with that.

If they had done something bold like IDW Turtles then I'd be on board.

The only way I would consider buying any of these is if the month they release ends up being a very light month in terms of purchases and in that instance I might cave and buy Raphael since he's my favorite OT turtle. But, I really don't have any want or use for the figure. There's soooooo much OT turtle stuff, not just from the 80s/90s but even newer stuff still coming out to appeal to the 'nostalgia' in older fans, but I think the timing of these is just really bad. If they'd released these in 2012 I can see them doing well. But since then we've gotten the Playmates Classic figures which were rather nice.

Different head sculpts would have been nice, and it doesn't seem like they can store their weapons.

Although not screen accurate ( we'll never get that) they are the best looking FW based Turtles yet, and actually fit a 1:12th scale unlike Playmates Classics figures which are almost 7" tall.

I know, got a couple of SH Figures. Michael Jackson even comes with a extra torso that's sculpted with the arms raised. But I doubt we'll get extra belt pieces for weapon storage, and it's just a minor remark, as the NECAs didn't have proper storage either except Leo. Raph and Mikey can store their weapons on th sides but it doesn't seem to be by design as Donnie didn't get any.

So, if the SH figuarts can't, I don't really mind.

I really like the look but it makes me just think that we won't have show-accurate figures for this series until 2030.

I don't think we will ever get show accurate figures, sadly. The Retro art style is way more ingrained in people's mind then the actual screen appearance.

Sad but true.

Still though I'll take em. Just think how far we've come and closer we've got to the OT design though. When Playmates released those hideous "Toon Turtles" set in the 90's did you ever think we'd get anything this close to Toon accurate?

What is this "Toon Accurate" unicorn everyone is talking about?

90s?
Nick?

I thought the classic collection looked good?
Do you want them shorter and rounder?

Screen accurate to the FW cartoon, since both these Sh Figuarts and the failed Classics Collection by Playmates are not screen accurate, nor toy accurate like other Classics lines have done like MOTUC, but instead they are based off the Retro art we often see on shirts posters etc.

The Classics have so many issues with them. Like, being labeled "Classics" without being all that classic designed. Bad paint job, questionable articulation choices and being way off scale for fitting into any 1:12th scale (6") lines. And overall not very well looking, the shell looks hilariously bad on the Toon Classics by being almost completely round and the butt is showing off from behind.

Fortunately an easy pass for me. If they make the 90's movie turtles however, I'm all over it.

On the fence for this one. As much as I was hoping for more Japanese coys to make TMNT toys, like many others here I was hoping for something other than OT.

Japanese figures are known for their great articulation and paint jobs. 2 things playmates seemed unable to do at all so hopefully figuarts might do other variations of the turtles.
