I was thinking the same thing! & I love Portal, so I've quite enjoyed them. This game is damn near perfect, barring some of the difficulty.

Oh god, I found one, attempted to fight, and got my ass handed to me. Those assholes even teleport great distances just to kick your ass. I got up a mountain to escape and just as I jumped off to paraglide away I see him just teleport there to get me after everything seemed fine.

Those were actually the only ones I had in mind, since they didn't exist on preceding consoles first. The latter is kind of a special case since it was being developed for the GameCube first, but then ended up coming out on the Wii first, and then on GameCube just a month later.

Nintendo purposely delayed it on Gamecube so the Wii version would sell better. I'm surprised they didn't do the same with the Wii-U version of Breath of the Wild compared to the Switch version.
I bought it on Wii-U, I'm not getting a Switch till probably November when Mario comes out. |

Master Quest changed the puzzles inside all the dungeons in Ocarina of Time, and the 3DS version is also mirrored.
The puzzles aren't as good as the original puzzles, but it's fun to play as an alternate take on the game. It's almost like 1999-era DLC, given it was originally planned for the 64DD in Japan. |

I wish Nintendo would put stuff like that on the Virtual console, there's no reason they can't release them now. It's absurd they don't.

They also remade Zelda 1 with SNES graphics and they never properly released that either. Which I also find extremely bizarre, they could have released it back in the GBA era or put it on the virtual console or as an unlockable in a main 3D Zelda or something.

I don't hold it against them for not releasing Japanese Super Mario Bros 2. overseas back in the day, though. There were hard enough NES games already. |

Zelda 1 got the "Super Mario All-Stars" treatment, just like Metroid 1 was remade as Zero Mission on GBA, and Kirby NES was remade in Nightmare in Dreamland on GBA, and Punchout NES had a sorta remake/reboot with Punchout Wii. In fact Nintendo practically remade all their big NES games on later consoles. |

Well, back in the day it'd have been cool but I can live without ever playing that SNES remake of Zelda 1. Unless it has differences other than a graphical update.
What about the GB Zelda games. Have they ever been remade? Link'a Awakening got a DX version for the GBC, but what about the Oracles? I've played a bit of Link's Awakening(own it on the 3DS VC) and it's an interesting game. Doesn't feel like your typical Zelda. It's kinda odd/funny it has chain chomp and goombas in it, though. |
