OK, here's the thing about Lita. While I did think I could be more interested in her than Jennika, which still stands and I guess I'm a more intrigued with this time travel premise than anything we've seen with Jennika, I must admit that this is a rather strange move.
Lita has really only been defined a character for a single issue and already an alternate version of her who is a Timestress pops up? This sort of move seems like something that you would do to a character who has been around for quite a while, not a brand new one. Along with the revelation that she's clumsy, it almost seems as if the character was created for the sole purpose of making a time travel story, the whole "Look at how the runt will grow" clich?. Even if that was indeed the purpose of introducing her, it would still work better if she had been around for 20 issues or so, even 5 would have been more reasonable. It's a really bizarre move in terms of writing.

So, its not that I don't like the issue or the past few issues, but it feels like a miniseries or back up story. Doesn't really do it for me as far as the ongoing. Like I've enjoyed reading it but I can take it or leave it in the long run.

To be fair, it's supposed to be a breather arc like Northampton was.

I'm a little confused here... are we now complaining about the Alopex/Raph thing as if interspecies romance is somehow a new concept in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Are you... sure you guys have read/watched this IP before?

Indeed. Raph/Ninjara was the definition of hot back in the day, especially that thought bubble (accidentally wrote "thought butt" at first, Freudian slip!) panel with her and the two Raphs. |

The Raph/Alopex kiss was a total throwback to the Raph/Ninjara one in the second to last Archie story where they broke up. That was nice.
I don't really think Alopex needed a green bandana, the face paint she wears was enough. I think she's going to look worse with it on, but I guess we'll see and hopefully she won't wear it all the time. The last page was really surprising though, it's like the furthest thing from my mind and I wonder what goes on there. Looks like she has Renet's time scepter or works for her maybe. |

We definitely don't need more furry bait in TMNT. The new found audience can keep the book running for another decade, but the cost would be too high. not #readyforthenewnew

I think Sophie already mentioned the bandanna won't be an all-the-time thing. Cause yeah, while the color is fine around her neck it clashes heavily with her already-existing face mask when worn.

I mean... Mutant Town is the reality of the comic now. I'm pretty sure it's going to be the primary setting for the story for the remainder of the book's run, and even if they get past it, the new mutants would spread to the rest of the city. The point being, you're gonna see furry characters all throughout the book now, so buckle up. It's not as if the entire premise of the franchise hasn't been anthropomorphic characters.

Buckle up? You only keep hold of the reins as long as you’re the one in the drivers seat, bucko. Tank the book, they vote you off the island.
Provided of course, you haven’t already sunk the franchise. Laying groundwork for Jennika to romance the pork rocker, lol. From Casey’s hog to a real pig! Comedy gold. |

It's honestly a little worrying that not only is Mutant Town itself a bit of an odd plot development, seeing how quickly it happened, but now we have things like this on top of them. Quote:
