I heard on the local radio station of the anniversary of the famous ending of the Hell in a Cell featuring The Undertaker vs Mankind. As much as I am all about The Undetaker I greatly respect Mick Foley for the way he handled himself when he should have quit for the sake of his own health.

Way to make an already not-so-important title with no history behind it even MORE worthless.

You all know Vince is doing this right? Like if Vince wanted, Rollins could have vanished for months and not defend the Intercontinental title (before he lost it to Ziggler that is) and we'd all be calling Rollins worthless as well. Yeah Brock got some whacked out contract, but Vince agreed to all this.

It's some storyline or whatever Vince is cooking up for some reason.

This. Ya'll getting played and reacting just how he wants. Brock Lesnar has been at every SummerSlam since he came back and, 2013 edition aside, main evented all of them. How we get there and choice of opponent us up for debate, but if Brock's going back to UFC for real this time they're out of time and opportunities to do it on a big stage. I can't picture Vince McMahon wanting a moment he's undoubtedly going to have on all the video packages for the next decade - the moment someone under fifty finally dethrones Lesnar, clean - on, like, Hell in a Cell.

I kind of hate that match and would trade it away in a heartbeat if it meant Mick Foley was in just a bit better shape, health-wise.

So Bray Wyatt got in a car crash on the way to the airport. Multiple injuries. He's not sure if he'll make it to Extreme Rules.

Also Vince banned his commentators for mentioning Vader for some reason.

Hope they say no. Not only will Vince bury them but he'll also wipe out RoH in the process.

Cody won't go back he has said he makes thrice of what he made in WWE on the Indies not to mention he likes the lighter schedule he controls. The Bucks like the idea of making more money but they like being able to be at their kids birthday parties more.

I agree I don;t want Roman or Strowman burying them like poor Kevin Steen in that porter potty skit from last night.

The Bucks are the only ones I can picture doing it right now. They've talked about it before and they've won pretty much everything they can outside of WWE. That's not even really hyperbole; they've won everything in New Japan short of the World Tag League and outside of that, unless they do a bid with Impact or jump to either All Japan or Noah they've held everything else of note. But it's just as likely they turn it down. It's not like they haven't before.

Kenny Omega's just been made IWGP champion, beating Okada of all people, and been a semi to straight up main event level talent in the company for years. I can't imagine he walks away just yet. Cody's probably going back someday, but I don't think it's soon, given the success he's having on the indy scene, the money he's making and the waves he's made with All In.

Probably not stopping WWE from trying, though.

I get the fear, but no, that wouldn't happen. Ring of Honor got by fine before them; in the hypothetical scenario the Bucks and Cody left, they'd get by without them. It's not like the company hasn't lost top guys before. Hell, they lost Samoa Joe, CM Punk and Bryan Danielson, the bedrock of their early years, in quick succession to WWE and TNA. Tyler Black left. Austin Aries has been in and out between big company stints and never stays for long. Kevin Steen and Generico. They've always got new faces they can build around while still having stalwarts they can rely on.

We all just kind of collectively throw the word "buried" out too much, I've been realizing.

Damn, finally got to see Tessa Blanchard wrestle at Rise of the Knockouts 9, and I was impressed. She was put through the ringer and defeated Mercedes Martinez at the last possible seconds of the Iron Man match AND after already having a match earlier the same night. I can't wait to see her defend her new title, Phoenix of Rise Championship.

The Young Bucks are NJPW guys first, though. The only one ROH would take a hit from is Cody. The only way ROH would be wiped out is if half the roster decided they wanted out.

Hogan was reinstated back into the WWE HOF.

https://twitter.com/WWE/status/1018567979221573633

He should never have been taken off it, anyway. And considering WWE allow people like Jimmy Snuka and Abdullah the Butcher in their HOF I don't see why Hogan being back in it should raise any eyebrows, but whatever.

Beat me to it, but it looks like Hulkamania is running wild all over the Hall of Fame.

That is great! I read a rumor report that he could be a surprise guest at Extreme Rules.

Is this the third anniversary of him being exiled? I know its close.

Also, do you all think John Schnatter putting his foot in his mouth will cause ill will to creep up for Hogan? I know in the past when someone does something stupid, another who did will also be brought up. Its a totally different situation and I know. As much as I want my favorite wrestler involved I question if the time is right given the Papa Johns situation.

Haven't watched a WWE show since 2016. I'm interested in Extreme Rules but the card seems very large and I'm sure several of those matches will be rather short, no?

What do you guys expect of the PPV?
