Oh, crap... It was scary when I assumed Hob wouldn't be at the funeral, but somehow it's even scarier knowing that he is there. No way this can go well.

Thanks, now I remember. I just needed clarification because I knew tying black bands to your arm is a funeral thing in some cultures.

I don't remember them even interacting ever before, except when Slash saved Casey from Hun in "City Fall" and April accidentally set Slash free waaaaaaaaay back in #20-something.

Well I ask because Angel and Alopex are there and I honestly can't recall if they ever interacted with Slash, but then again my memory of the early issues is foggy.

Slash's last statement to Hob about him being right about humans is going to light a fire.I still say Hob sacrificing himself for Hob and Slash becoming anti-human as a result would have been a better angle.

Is it possible Hob actually goes all-in on his war on humans, alienating the Mutanimals, and creates an even larger group of semi-disposable mutants as his muscle? After all, he's been stockpiling Mutagen and far more weaponry than the Mutanimals, all 6 or 7 of them, would need...

Hell no. We need Hob way more than we need Slash.

Well, it's all gotta boil over somehow. Hob's is one of the longest-lasting plot threads, literally from day one, and it just recently got a very big push for him to finally crack and do the thing he's always been talking about doing. I don't see (most of) the current roster of Mutanimals being okay with that plan, though.

Hob has (almost) transition to a full-time ally, so I don't think we'll see him do anything too crazy besides get revenge on Bishop who is evil anyway.

I guess we'll see how it shakes out. But given everything that's happened, my money's on him doing something far crazier and controversial in-universe than serving Bishop his just desserts. It's said that, in writing, at the end one always goes back to the beginning. It would be amazing to see Old Hob at odds with the Turtles again like at the start of this whole crazy saga, on top of all his character development since then. Can't say it wouldn't be great drama.
