- Voltron: Defender of the Universe Collection Seven - Land Team
- Voltron: Defender of the Universe Collection Eight - Sea Team

$6.99 each at FYE!

I've still only ever watched the original Voltron show. I already have the first four sets and I've been looking for the rest for a while, so finding these so cheap was huge.

Bumblebee wasn't out when that box set was released. Not even in theaters yet.

You can get complete sets of both versions now. There's even a set that has both.

I know, I had to move them out of the way to get to these.

I already have the first four Volumes in those awesome collector's cases made of tin or aluminum or whatever, and I like 'em a whole lot. I also paid full price for them when they were fresh, so I plan to hang onto them. I'm already in deep as far as shelf space, might as well keep things consistent.

I just need Vol. 5 and 6 and I got the whole shebang.

It's my first home video haul since October of last year, and there's still nothing else that I'm interested in getting that I can currently preorder. So far, there's only one future release I plan on getting, it's supposedly scheduled for June, but preorders for it haven't gone live yet.

I'm really gonna miss buying movies. Stupid pandemic. Stupid Second Great Depression.

...I wouldn't have ever bought THAT movie, but it would be nice to at least have the option.

Must be nice. Literally every cent I have has to go to food from now until ???. I'll probably never work again.

This sucks.

Picked up some new UHD Blu-ray releases

A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
The Rise of Skywalker

I almost bought that Best Buy exclusive 9 film 4K SW box set... but I hate the packaging. I want each film in its own little case so I'll just buy them individually.

Plan on picking up the prequel trilogy, The Force Awakens and Rogue One when there is a sale to complete my 4K SW collection (I have the previous 1080p BRDs already), which I suspect could happen around May the 4th.

I have Disney+ so I didn't need to buy any of these, but the much higher bitrate on the discs does make a difference. And dammit, even with some changes I object to in the OT, the transfers look really damn nice and I'm happy to have them on my shelf.

These new 4K versions look a LOT better than the blu-rays in multiple areas, particularly in A New Hope where every blaster shot looks pink which drove me totally crazy. All fixed in the 4Ks.

Every time release these movies. They always fix them. Look at every release of these movies. And they always add a little something extra you haven't seen before.

I own the 6 movies in a regular Blu-Ray box set. I have The Force Awakens on regular Blu-ray also. But I have The Last Jedi and The Rise Of Skywalker in 4K.

All I would need to get is Episodes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 in 4K to complete that 4K set. Since The Last Jedi and The Rise Of Skywalker are 4K Steelbooks.

Haven't watched it yet, but I picked up Superman: Red Son on Blu-ray. I liked the comic, hopefully this one won't go completely off the rails like "Batman: Hush" did.

I also picked up Young Guns on Blu-ray since it was $5 and I didn't have it in that format. It's probably my favorite movie ever; I swear I own like five copies of it across various formats.

MLP: FiM Season 1 came in the mail last week, Season 2 came today, and I picked up "Creepshow 2" on DVD at Walmart for $5.

Are Seasons 8 and 9 out on disc yet, d'you know? I'm pretty much trying to get a season every couple weeks or so and was doing some price-checking, and can only find up through Season 7. Although I only spent a couple minutes looking.

If they're not yet I'm sure they will be.

Ghost - Paramount Presents

This actually comes out next Tuesday, but it showed up in my mailbox early. This is also my first home video purchase of the year since March.

This is the eighth title to be released in the Paramount Presents line of Blu-ray releases. I'm hoping that Beavis and Butt-head Do America and Save the Last Dance will be part of this line, since both still don't have Blu-ray releases.
