Okay so the 21 year old Tai and Matt et al. is a one off film and it concludes continuity. This is a restart as they are the same age(s) that they were in season 1. I liked the focus on Tai and Matt so the gradual shift away never sat well with me.

Question, I was going to the 1 day theater showing on March 25th, but the Coronavirus canceled everything. Is it rescheduled or a DVD release date given for the USA as of yet? I don't see Last Evolution on Crunchyroll.

Thanks for the information. I have been looking for it.

I watched episode 3 subtitled yesterday. It was a little confusing as to how that escalation was possible without tapping into the bonds of the two sets of partners and the struggle of the human partner's greatest trait is also his or her weakest. Tai and Matt don't even know each other and they just seem to be spontaneous sucked in. We also have not met the other Digimon partners.

So is the 2nd and 3rd episode plot a takeoff of the Digimon Adventure War Games segment? A little weirded out due to preexisting history.

Definitely the episodes had parallel's to Our War Game. They even gave Algomon, who was a Savers digimon that was based on Diablomon, more forms that look like Kuramon and Keramon.

Argomon or Algomon? It looked like a stage down of Diaboramon. I wonder if we will get alternative forms of evolution or if there will be a straightforward path.

Maybe evil Digimon outside of Adventure will find themselves in Adventure 2.0? I don't know a thing about Savers. Tamers was only so good and I dropped Digimon after that.

Hopefully Leomon gets to live this time around. Its like with Gwen Stacey( I liked her paired with Eddie Brock and a trigger for the symbiote instead of the usual dying, but let's save that for another thread), find something for the character to do aside form die and seem like a waste. That would be unfortunately original.

It's Algomon. His name derives from Algorithm; Where in the Savers movie, there was a human/digimon named Rhythm.

I definitely wouldn't mind seeing some more non-adventure type of digimon. Like the demon lords

I would as well as a way of incorporating different versions into one world. The reboot opens the door for it. Villains or supporting Digimon of non-Adventure get a new take and involvement in a new story. Fans of non-Adventure may not care for it, but I think it would be cool and introduces some of us to a wider character set.
