Another could be: She's already been victimized by him once, why put herself through a trial where she'll be re-victimized by him again and again.

That's a common reason people back out of things like this. They think they can handle dealing with it, but find they can't and back off. Happens in criminal cases and lawsuits. The other side is going to do its best to drag out everything you've ever done in your life on down to an unpaid parking ticket to demonize you. Everyone knows it and it's hard to actually deal with that reality.

Anyway, Hollywood and the show business in general are shady af, so I'm not really surprised a lot of perverted and twisted people work there. As for the validity of some of those accusations, well that's up for the judges to decide. In the case of Harvey Weinstein... he has dozens of accusations, including from very well known actresses such as Salma Hayek, Gwyneth Patrow and Angelina Jolie. They'd have nothing to gain from falsely accusing him. Too many accusations for it to be a coincidence.

So now if people do bad things we attempt to erase their existence and references to them? As if that would help. Coudl you imagine if we erased people like Hitler and Stalin from history books? Doesn't sound like a good idea, does it?

I don't know that denying people royalties is quite the same thing as erasing history. That's what this Gravity Falls thing seems like to me. Every time someone watches that particular episode, Louis C.K. gets paid. Before everything went streaming, this is a thing that might not have happened.

The guy is still alive. A company just doesn't want to cut him a check.

And it's also not like Disney doesn't have a history of this sort of thing anyway. See also: Aladdin and Fantastia.
