It's 11:13 pm the moment I type this so it's been over 4 hours since the game started.
I am watching news right now and the sport guy said if they go over 3 mins in this 3rd overtime it will be new record for the Canucks! GO CANUCKS GO! Update: going 4th overtime. Announcers during break talk about the beer pyramid once again. this time beer cups at 23! Last edited by LogicDonny; 04-12-2007 at 01:56 AM. |

Aww, why did they have to merge this with the Sports Talk thread? I liked having a dedicated thread for the NHL playoffs...Now it's gonna get muddied amidst every other conversation already going on here.

Alright so I'm officially tired of the espn draft coverage. How many times can you analyze this $hit? I also hate Mel Kiper for having the Lions take Gaines Adams. I just wish the damn draft would be here already.

I'm with you on that. ESPN radio and NFL Network are running this thing into the ground. I am ready for it to get here so we won't have to speculate..plus the new football cards will be out.

Has anyone ever watched the entire draft.
I have tried the last two years and I quit after the first day both times. It is so boring and exciting at the same time. My brain got confused

I watch the whole first round and most of the rest. I usually just set a small tv next to the big one and play some video games while I'm watching. The second day is really boring, I'll watch it if I'm around but I usually find something better to do. It would be much more interesting if they actually talked about the picks that were actually happening rather than other stories having nothing to do with what's going on.

Nah, Rice is getting old. I don't think the deal evens out. Almost every Lions fan wants them to trade down, but I am not one of them. With players like Russell, Peterson, Johnson and Thomas available...I would hope they would stay put and draft one of them.

Yea I know...Simeon is deifnately not what he used to be but he's still a top player...I don't think they'll do it either, but only becuase anything thats ever said pre-draft usually doesnt turn out, always trying to put people off the real scent...

Most of the analysts think he is the best player in this year's draft...and I agree with them. We are talking about a game-changing player, one who will make good offenses great..a player who makes opposing defenses account for him at all times. This guy is going to be huge.

NBA Playoffs start tomorrow, here's how I think it'll go....
Western Conference 1st Round Suns over Lakers- A quick series, Lakers have fallen apart. Spurs over Nuggets- I also think the Spurs will make this a quick one, I don't have that much faith in the Nuggets. Rockets over Jazz- McGrady has been playing great and I think this will be the year he advances deeper into the playoffs. Warriors over Mavs- This is probably a very stupid pick but the Warriors are 3-0 against the Mavs this year. I also hate the Mavs and think they would lose in the 2nd round anyways so I might as well go for it. Eastern Conference 1st Round Pistons over Magic- Sweep Bulls over Heat- I can see this going 7 games(which by the way is a rediculous length for a first round series) Nets over Raptors- In 5 or 6 games. Nets peaking at the right time and Raptors falling apart at the wrong time and they are young. Cavs over Wizards-Sweep West Semi-Finals Rockets over Warriors- Warriors wouldn't make it 2 in a row Spurs over Suns- 6 or 7 games...a good series. East Semi-Finals Pistons over Bulls- Bulls are a good team. Long series decided in 6 or 7 games Cavs over Nets- Cavs will be tough, Lebron showed it last year. West Finals Spurs over Rockets- Spurs are too good. I think they would win in a sweep, maybe 5 games. East Finals Pistons over Cavs- Rematch from last year. It'll be another long, tough series. 7 games. Finals Pistons over Spurs- Rematch from 2 years ago...will probably go 7 games. |

All I can think about is that song by Shaggy, "Wasn't Me." Great song.
