Shame, they were doing some cool work with the costumes. Unfortunately for him, if he's hoping to make it in the industry in any capacity, you can't have abandoned kickstarters on your resume and expect it to not haunt you. So, sucks for him...

He had some reward tiers where some character heads went to big backers. Curious how that is working out.

A cursory look at his personal FB shows new stuff in the interim not related to Blood Brothers.

So looking at the comments there, he never filmed anything, nobody actually got anything and he deleted the FB page for it. Also, he's been working on other projects: https://www.youtube.com/c/bloodbrothersfx/videos

Guess the project is likely: "dead as a doornail, don't aske me again," heh. Too bad. I would have liked all that to have produced... something.

Failed projects like that make it much harder for other creators to gain steam on their works because of all the bad precedents that burn backers' goodwill.

90% of these fan projects always fail or get abandoned. I think the only one that actually happened was that short Casey Jones fan film from a few years ago?

So all that time and all that money and they didn't even film anything beyond that trailer. I'd call it a complete sham if it wasn't for the costume updates. Sounds like they were expecting to just sit around and wait til they got every last penny they asked for and THEN get to work. And isn't offering DVDs kinda asking for Viacom to come after them?
