In between projects I've been working on something completely different: The System

What happens on a micro level when mutagen/ooze is spilt into a sewer? Would bacteria mutate? And if so, into what? Well, the idea behind this piece is that it would create a chain-reaction of each of the millions of billions of bacteria and microorganisms mutating and taking traits of the others, resulting in a giant, hive-minded entity; The System. And because it doesn't have a solid form of it's own, it uses the actual sewer system to form it's body.

I drew the basic idea and build it with pvc piping and sculpted parts from epoxy.

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I've been working on some new stuff, but felt it was about time to finish this benchwarmer...
A long time ago, and I do mean long, like 3 or 4 years, I got it in my head to make a Slash. So I started and once the head sculpt was done I stopped. I had no clue where to go next, so I mothballed him. After a couple months I get inspired and start working on it again. And then I stopped. Rins and repeat up until 2 months ago when I deceided enough is enough. I finished it.

The bust is inspired by the scene where Bebop and Rocksteady create Slash so I included his binky. I used blue glitters to give the base a little more of an ooze or mutagen feel.

The diorama reminds me of the bases that came with the Angel figures from Moore Action Collectibles back in the day.

So, after a bit of a break due to moving house and studio, I'm at work once again. I've been working on a statue/bust called "Foot Stinks". Here is the almost finished, unpainted piece

BTW I didnt design it to be any particulair Turtle, the bandana will be red and the finished piece will have another belt across the chest.

WOW!!! This sewer is amazing. Great job, inspiring stuff. The sparring dummy/pipe is awesome and I just noticed the book propping up the back of the chair. I really like your Slash bust too.

I'm almost done working on the sewer and will post pics when it is done. I've also started work on furniture and other accessories, as well as a second sewer section. This chair is the first thing finished. Fully sculpted.
