Got mine in the mail the other day. 40/300!

Story's really wild, but filled with all the usual character insights that you get from a Lawson script. Everyone knows him as the prolific Turtle artist, but he could script some of the best stories, too; he knows the characters rather deeply.

Is that a new run, then, of 300? The one I have is 83/100.

Mine is 75/100 but it's arrived a bit bent in the mail, seeing if can flatten it out somewhat.

Here's a pic. That could be a "1" and not a "3" lol.

For what it's worth, I wrote a review on TMNT Entity:

https://tmntentity.blogspot.com/2023/06/tmnt-2030.html

I enjoyed this collection a whole lot. But it also made me realize what I took for granted every month before 2009.

I wasn't expecting all that stuff at the end of the review. That's real talk, man.

That was one of your best, man. Couldn't have agreed more!

It really is sad, how far it's all fallen. The last time TMNT IDW was good was during the build-up to #100. Even before all of the nonsense, #100 had a let-down of an ending. The Michael Bay movies weren't great. The Batman vs TMNT movie was pretty good, but it went nowhere, and the comics overstayed their welcome. IDW has been in the garbage ever since, Mutant Mayhem looks to be a travesty, and Rise was way off base. The comics haven't been good since 2019, and the animation hasn't put anything worthwhile out since 2017. TMNT hasn't really made anything good in a long time. The Fan Projects have been the best things to come out in the recent years.

I actually think Mutant Mayhem looks great for what it's trying to be, but I totally understand being disenchanted with the overall direction of TMNT since the buyout, particularly the comics. Unfortunately, TMNT is one of IDW's best-selling monthlies and The Last Ronin did absolute gangbusters by IDW standards, so I don't see them parting with the license to cut costs the way they did with Transformers. All we can really do is hope IDW goes out of business like they've been threatening to for the last few years.

(But I can wait until they've finished releasing their Mirage compendiums.)

Some cool news for everyone that (like me) missed the train on the limited TPB:

If you don't want to wait, you can get in touch with Jim for a free digital copy (PDF file).

Wow, I finally had time to give it a read. 2030 really feels like a prelude to a full Mirage Volume 5 of another 30-ish issues and I wish that was true...(spoilers ahead)

Leo got out of his isolation, Raph lost his newfound purpose of protecting the children, Donnie lost Kirby, Shadow seems to slowly follow the path of destruction that will finally lead to her future mentioned in Tales of the TMNT V2 #69... It's the perfect starting point for a new series of them getting back together.

Since the virus got spread at the Hudson river, mankind really got sterilized without anyone noticing, right? Another interesting plot point that shouldn't contradict any previously shown future since the flood is going to reduce the population anyway.

I also thought that Shadow was mutating when her face was shown after the crash, but I guess those were just bruises?

Anyway, it was really cool to dive back into the Mirageverse. Dialogues, interactions between the brothers and art felt like it never went on hiatus and I also loved how Jim portrayed the sewers as huge and mysterious catacombs.

I really recommend to pick-up the reprint if/once it get's avaliable.

Hey, guys! Another TMNT project knocks in your door! All Jim Lawson fans remember TMNT2030 – the visionary unofficial TMNT comic from Jim Lawson himself, part one of which came as a free bonus in Jim’s crowdfunding, and later printed in extremely limited copies as a collected book with the complete story.

But Not AS Complete as the TMNT 2030 Ultimate Edition! It’s time to read the WHOLE story now, including events of YEAR 2030!

With new prologue and epilogue, written by Arseniy Dubakov, scripted by Andrew Modeen and drawn by Jim Lawson, TMNT 2030 is part of the expanded Mirage TMNT continuity now, taking place between TMNT: Origin and TMNT: The Shredder books, with all leading to TMNT: Odyssey!
What's about ULTIMATE edition?

• IDW "The Ultimate Collection" design aesthetic and deluxe size!
• New ULTIMATE-like collage cover by Jim Lawson and Dmitry Bobrovnik (colors), inspired by IDW's TMNT The Ultimate Collection series;
• Extremely expanded main story — 15 new pages from Jim Lawson!
• Gallery with all covers and concept arts
• Hardcover book, high quality gloss paper, 104 pages, 12,1x8,4 inches

I'm going to send the book to the printer in September.
Feel free to send me DM and preorder. All backers names will be printed on the Thanks page inside the books (as always)! And you still can order previous books.

Cheers!

I really like what you guys are doing! And making it part of your continuity is amazing! (I kinda was already doing it in my head canon)

Great project! I have the first issue from the kickstarter project back in the day.
Was just wondering why you felt the need to reletter his work and put digital tones over it? A bit intrusive on jim's work, don't you think?
Other than that I am happy to be getting this in physical edition finally. To me this is mountains above everything idw has brought into the world. Especially the last ronin. So thank you
