The issue is the IDW TMNT universe has not come up with Retromutagen yet.

And what exactly would stop them from introducing it or have some twist in which it turns out the bomb was flawed and reversing the mutations is fairly simple? Just because it isn't around "yet" doesn't mean it won't happen, what did you think I meant by twist?

why it could be a simple shot, makes you wonder how many will refuse due to headbook posts saying it makes things worse and makes you turn into a mindless animal. Ironically all the posts seem to be coming from null industries which has alternate financial interests but then again who are they going to believe even if the facts are present?

I understood that reference. Still, unlike certain other shots, I feel like it would be pretty easy to prove exactly what happens upon being inoculated with the retromutagen. All you'd need is a camera, a handful of volunteers and someone to interview them afterwards.
