Oh Lord. It looks like they're changing Sonic's signature speed for this upcoming flick.

This film won't even break even. It's going to be a massive mega-flop.

Nah, kids will dig it. It will probably be terrible, but little kids will love it because it's Sonic in a movie. And a few diehards who've waited their whole life to see it, and don't really care if it's any good. People with names like LigerJaw.

Also, over the years Sonic's speed has been "officially" listed at anywhere from as low as 767 MPH (at his "average" running speed) to around 4000 MPH, according to various game manuals. Furthermore, he's been explicitly described as traveling briefly at Light Speed in a few games, with assistance. So there's been described "limits" put in place historically already, but ultimately, he's always exactly as fast as the story needs him to be.

There's definitely gonna be a lot of problems with this movie, but I'unno if this is anything worth getting hung up on.

I'm sure it means Sonic might learn to build up his speed in the movie. This could be an origin movie, or it could use some excuse that Earth physics mess with his speed.

I'm sure the realistic part means they'll make the world around him properly react to something that fast running around, so Sonic doesn't look like a cut out character photshopped in.

Ah so Toy Factory is a company that makes products and stuff toys for Amusement Parks. So we can expect a stuff toy of Movie Sonic sometime this year. I hope even get a leak of the toys this year.

They are not gonna delay the movie. When it comes out in November. We are just 10 months away from the release.

If you want a cheesy cartoon sonic, go watch the old cartoons. Typically you don’t reboot a franchise and just recycle the original version. It’s lazy, and in this case, would look goofy as hell.
