'Twas sarcasm. I'm speaking to the marketing, not the plot.

How much you are willing to bet. That Mysterio is behind all those creatures appearing? He's known for creating realistic illusions.
throughout the film. We'll see him teaming up with Spider-Man. But by the 3rd act. There is some twist that reveals he's responsible for all those things appearing. and Spider-Man battles him. Mysterio is a very well known villain. he always takes on Spider-Man. Usually messing with him using his Visual FX trickery. Chances he he might have reverse engineered some of that alien tech. and using it to his advantage. |

Like last year's Ant-Man and the Wasp I definitely think this looks like the kind of Marvel film audiences will want to see, especially after an emotional journey like Avengers: Endgame.

I think Mysterio's first story was him framing Spider-Man and making the city think he's a hero. Pretty sure the movie will play up the aspect of Mysterio tricking people into thinking he's a hero but all along he's the villain.

Marisa Tomei is 54 years old, damn, she looks like she could pass for late 30's in that trailer. Why is it that 50+ year olds back in the 80's and 90's looked like 70 year olds already?
Now 50 year olds can still hover around late 30's or early 40's in terms of looks. |

That's not enough. Other than a May chaser he's also a December chaser.

So these elementals that Mysterio is said to be "stopping" are Sandman, Hydroman, and Molten Man or are they Hellfire, Hyrdon, Magnum, and Zephyr?

Doesn't quite have that Spiderman feel, for me, so I'm not enthusiastic at this moment in time...

What do you mean, Spiderman feel? Not enough villain presence, too young, no Mary Jane...? Just curious.

Hated Homecoming for the radical changes. This looks like more of the same. Easy pass for me.

Spider-Man: Homecoming wasn't my absolute favorite Spider-Man flick but it's growing on me. Still not my top fave, but I like it more than the first time I saw it, in theaters. I think it was just a couple little things that I thought were kinda cheesy, like the "omg Aunt May is soo hot" running gag.

My biggest problem with Homecoming was the comic book supporting cast either were not present or not as they are supposed to look due to a need for diversity in the cast. I don't know if I am wrong for wanting Mary Jane present as a Caucasian redhead, Betty Brant to have short brown hair, Ned Leeds not to really be friends with Peter but a blonde colleague. I like to see the characters as they are in the comics to be presented that way on screen.
