Watched Miller's Crossing recently and it was great but not exaclty flawless. I think the pacing made up for it, though.
Also watched Kiru -- which is Japanese for "Kill!" -- recently. It was a pretty good samurai movie, but I thought there could've been more humor. Yesterday, I watched Strait-Jacket, which was a nice chiller starring Joan Crawford. In a way, it reminded me of Hitchcock's Psycho and William Castle's Homicidal.

In the last couple of weeks I've seen Quantum of Solace and Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Not too sure if I liked Quantum of Solace, but I enjoyed Zack and Miri...I have never laughed that hard at a movie in public

Watched a couple movies in the past few days, starting with Peeping Tom, which was a nice psychological thriller. Different from most horror at the time, it's a shame it didn't do so well when it was released in 1960.
Watched a horror from the '30s called The Devil Doll, which was a bit of fun. In a way it reminded me of Attack of the Puppet People. The 1945 version of The Spiral Staircase, which was excellent. I can tell that everyone involved in the movie had a fun time putting it together. Twice-Told Tales, which was some pretty good anthology horror. The Gothic aspect/atmosphere fit each story pretty well. A Japanese horror movie from '77 called House, which seemed to mix comedy with surrealism. It was above average, but I thought it could've been a little less cheesy. And finally, For a Few Dollars More, which has to be one of the best sequels I've seen. I liked how the relatonship between Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef was handled.

Step Brothers. What a colossal waste of time. This was the most random, unfunny movie I've seen in a while. The whole time I was thinking..."What are these guys 6!?"

So the movie is as advertised. No reason to be surprised, really.

Watched The Crimson Cult last night, which was mostly OK. It seemed liked the ending was kinda rushed for some reason.
Then I watched Goke, Body Snatcher from Hell, which had an interesting concept. I didn't seem to mind the lousy effects either.

Well, if we're talking theatre then it was Twilight. If we're talking home then it was Christmas With the Kranks.

I finally saw Casablanca the other night. They sure don't make 'em like that anymore.
