So which sets are you getting I will be getting them all... I am both a LEGO fan (have lots of star wars, lord of the rings, super hero sets!) as well as, obviously, TMNT
If you buy every set, you will get duplicates of some of the figures, such as the turtles... however... this is not necessarily bad, because you can notice in the screenshots that, for example, donatello in the Shredder's Dragon Bike set and donatello in the Baxter Robot Rampage set have different expressions as well as different weapons (in the first he has his standard bo, in the other he has the bladed one) So there are some advantages to getting the variants If you bought every set you'd have two of every turtle... each with two different expressions... except for raph, of which you'd have 3 minifigures (2 having the same expression) Oh, and technically you'd have two shredders... though one is actually the training doll :p Anyone else agree that the LEGO Kraang brain minifigure looks better than the Playmates one? :p Probably way better build quality too |

I'm planning on getting them all so me and my 3 year old can build them. Hmm, as for duplicates maybe I should turn one into Slash?

I want all of these, but if things get tight ( I got a $99 Omega Supreme on pre order due next month) is there a place I can get the figures by themselves and unopened?

You wont be able to the figures unopened, they are packaged in pieces with the rest of the sets, usually in different bags. Your best bet would be to try and find the figures on bricklink.com, alot of people will buy sets for the pieces or minifigs and then part them out that way...

Sure thing, I usually buy all my LEGO from Fred Meyer, just because you can usually get that extra 10% Home coupon, plus they don't markup the prices.

So they changed the release date to Dec 24th now... can they make up their minds? Still hoping we'll start seeing them a little over a week from now.

This street date move is excellent as it will not only capture the last-minute holiday shopping, but also prove to be a good strategy as I heard on the radio this morning that traditional, non-electronic toys including LEGO will be nice sellers this year. Having a two-week break off from work over the holidays may tempt me into buying a playset or two, especially right after Christmas. The Shellraiser not only is the most impressive but also the lowest unit price in terms of pieces per dollar which is my first choice.

They're up for pre order on Lego.com, and they're cheaper than Toys R Us too. For example, TRU wants $17.99 for the Kraang lab escape set, where Lego.com has it for only $12.99

In Az they were fully stocked. At least 10 of each at both locations. So either they just put them out of no one is buying them. Except me hahahahahahahahhha. I only got them because I get 20% off otherwise I would have waited to get them at target.
