GobbledyGook 1 and 2 are the first comics that Kevin and Peter ever did together. These pre-date the ninja turtles (there is actually an ad on the back of each of them for TMNT #1). They were self published, photocopied and stapled together by Kevin and Peter by hand. Only 50 copies of each were printed. Largely regarded as the "holy grail" of Turtles collecting (even though the turtles only appear in an ad). They contain the origin story and first appearance of the Fugitoid.
Turtlemania was a promo book made by a Comic shop that Kevin and Peter provided most of the art for. There were 3 editions: 10 copies of the Gold edition (which I have never seen): Signed and Sketched by Kevin and Peter 100 Copies of the Silver Edition: Just signed by Kevin and Peter 3000 Copies of the Standard (or White) Edition Heres are the Pages of GobbledyGook 1 and 2: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v2...int/Issue%201/ http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v2...int/Issue%202/ Here are the pages of Turtlemania: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v2...20Special%201/ |

Just picked these up off ebay tonight (so the images are from ebay, but will take my own when they get here)
Theres are the dreaded COUNTERFEIT copies of GobbledyGook 1 and 2. They are the infamous yellow cover copies with the poor forging of Kevins signature in them. |

Why buy the fakes? I know you're a perfectionist when it comes to completion but these seem unnecessary. Maybe those are more rare than the originals.

Cause they are awesome! And fake or not, they still hold an important role in the history of the books. That is what my collection is all about man...Historical documentation.
