An arson attack at Kyoto Animation leaves thirty-six dead, and many more injured.
This is such a horrific tragedy that resulted in lives lost through death, injury, and trauma.
My thoughts are with the victims, their family, and their friends. May they rest in peace. Last edited by Papenbrook; 10-17-2019 at 05:00 PM. |

It’s old news but I hope that murderer gets a very painful death sentence. My condolences to the victims.
I enjoy Free! and now I’m pissed that future installment would be on hold or ended permanently. |

Old news? It happened a few days ago.
Apparently, the arsonist accused the studio of stealing his idea and decided the best way to go about getting restitution was to burn them all alive. He also accidentally lit himself on fire. I guess he had no idea how fast gasoline goes up.

At an animation studio? How super random and sad, and a loss of talent I'm sure.
Very deserved if he set himself on fire. |

Well he died in the process. He burned to death as well. If he had been caught and sentenced to death he'd been hanged, I believe. I'd say dying burned to death is much worse, so it's probably for the best that he died that way. Although that's not gonna bring any of the victims back. |
