I'd love a short or a one off in a black and white sort of "Sin City" vibe with color on certain things of a symbolic nature. It would be a gritty feeling that the turtles roots were derived from. I could easily get into that. I'm sure kids wouldn't like it, but a lot of us from the older crowd could appreciate it at least. It will still probably never happen. The closest to that was the end of the Turtles Forever movie.

I know it will never happen but I'd love an actual adult show that didn't cater to children.

Tonights line up.... Game of Thrones followed by TMNT... *imagines*

Purposely edgy turtles is a terrible idea.

I think this show has the biggest problem in carving out its own niche now that there's been 3 TMNT cartoons before it, it has to do something new to stand out on its own.

Between the original cartoon, 2k3 series and Nick cartoon, all 3 had distinctly different writing styles, animation and the way the characters/plot were handled that none of them feel the same. The 2018 show now has the problem of being the 4th TMNT cartoon, and having to do something that will make it stand out from the 3 shows prior and make it stand on its own.

Plus it is coming right on the heels of the last.

One of the things I like so far is it's going to be 2D again. I liked the CG of the Nick show, but I'm used to more traditional 2D animation. Hopefully it looks good and not like the crappy flash-esque shows a lot of Nick and Disney and CN shows are plagued with today.

I would've loved a Mirage inspired HBO animated series much like Spawn was in the 90s.
