Yeah, “Next Chapter” font looks slapped on, and just adds to the feeling that there is way too much going on.

The different fonts, the slimy texture over everything, the garish (imo) mash of orange and red, followed by “The Next Chapter” in just plain old font. It’s actually pretty funny. Clearly someone designed the logo and was told to add “The Next Chapter” at the bottom, afterwards. Sending this logo from bad to awful.

It could get a little better if the mask ends were not symmetrical.

The studio doesn't know what they're doing or what they want.

That's ANOTHER franchise desecrated by Paramount ...

Logo reminds me of Toxic Crusaders a little bit. Or a lot of other 80s/90s logos actually, so I don't think I dislike it as much as some of you.

It might really fit the style/vibe they are going for, we'll see.

Is it my fav TMNT logo out of the dozens we have had over the years? Well no, but I do like that it's different without being terrible.

I agree, it definitely has 80s/90s vibes and it's a good thing... I guess. I think most of us actually like it but at the same time we think it could be improved with minor changes.

It looks like a joke logo. Like some kind of spoof thing.

If the title really is 'next chapter', then I think it's more likely a continuation of previous films, if only a loose continuation.

IDW is the best version of TMNT

If they make a TMNT reboot movie retelling the shredder battle/origin, I won't buy a ticket.

The Next Chapter could mean that its a new version of TMNT, and maybe not a continuation of past versions.

So "next" doesn't mean anything?

Think about a title like Next Mutation, Was that show really about the Turtles experiencing another mutation? Nope, The title could mean anything.

Next Chapter could just be a way of saying, This is a new TMNT version, Another chapter in a franchise that could go either direction.

I seriously doubt that. If these were a total reboot, they would try to convey that in the title and marketing. As someone who has worked in marketing, I know they wouldn't call something the 'next chapter' if it's a fresh start, you try to capture the 'spirit/zeitgeist' of the product, while letting the audience know this version is an 'all-new' version of the thing they liked, but still close enough to get them interested and play on nostalgia. I would say with 98% certainty this is a continuation of a previous version, wither it is a loose continuation or a direct one remains to be seen.

And TMNT 4 had the "New Generation" subtitle for years. It meant nothing.

What’s so funny about what they said? I agree Next Chapter heavily implies it’s a continuation of an existing version. FW seems to be the most likely. The 2007 movie already linked itself to the 90s ones.

It’s possible that it’s not and it’s referring to the next chapter of their lives in some way...older and new villains...but it’s still under “Teenage MNT” so it contradicts that idea. Unless they consider that their moniker that just does not change. Like a personal title.

I dunno. That earlier Seth Rogen sketch thing implied it might be a next chapter of some fake TMNT that were former human teens.

Ya that’s possible and I’m thinking the name will change by the time it comes out. Might be why the logo is plain text.

I forgot Seth Rogen actually said he liked the Teenage element and wanted to build off that. So forget anything about them being older.

And sadly, we live in a time when "Well, why NOT?" is a good enough reason to just go ahead and do ANYTHING, no matter how stupid on its face. So you can rest assured that even if the Rogen movie isn't the one to use the horrible "TMNT who were humans first" idea, it will either be the very next reboot OR the one after that. Either way, it's inevitable.

Because now, "Why the heck NOT?" is good enough to get any terrible idea a budget and a release date. Back in my day, "Because it's f*cking stupid" was all the reason you needed NOT to go ahead and do stuff like that.
