Palm-sized chibi versions of the “style guide” turtles. These will be similar to the Herocross TMNT figures.

SD figures with articulation and interchangeable parts (hands, faces, etc.) that cover a wide variety of series/fandoms.

It's a bit of a bummer (to me, personally) that these might end up using the style guide designs rather than something accurate to the cartoon, though, but still cool that TMNT is getting Nendos.

Bingo.

If you looked hard enough, you'd see I've been saying on these forums for years that I wanted Goodsmile to get the license, to make Nendos & Figmas of the turtles. Now, it's gonna happen, but they're gonna be non-descript style guide turtles, which is T R A S H. We don't need another set of stock art toys! The market is flooded as it is. These should be from a specific version. ANY version. Henson, Fred Wolf proper, Rise, whatever.

I'm glad that one of my favorite companies is gonna get to tackle the property. I'm glad that Japanese fans will now have access to amazing quality turtle toys in their own country. I hope they sell well & that it leads to other, better pieces. But in the meanwhile, ironically, I'm just bothered that the thing I wanted to happen for so long is finally happening.

It feels like in the last few years, Viacom keeps getting the right people, to do the wrong thing. Seth Rogen for a kid cartoon when adult humor & dark comic adaptions are more his forte, Goodsmile for generic turtles when they specialize in style matching actively airing series, etc. So close yet so far.

The Herocross Hybrid Metal TMNT covered that Nenderoid itch of mine. However, I would still be curious regarding these as Nenderoids are generally well made.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the tmnt Nenderoids will look, but if it uses the stock art it will be underwhelming.

I have a bunch of nendo but I usually don't buy the ones based on Western properties. I was tempted by the Star Wars nendos but passed. I'll be giving these a look but it might be a tough sell for me.
