That art style doesnt seem legit to me, since the graphics artist who worked on Samurai Jack is doing this, that artwork does not look anything remotely like the Samurai Jack art style.

My hope: It's fake, but Nick "leaked" it themselves to throw people off the scent and make the real thing look amazing in comparison.

I... think I like it? Not sure about the LOL Don Is A Geek Nightvision Goggles™ but it's interesting otherwise. Why the hell is his shell a tank top shirt though? & pointy fingers/toes? At least there's two toes instead of three. I dunno, it has a sort of early Eastman & Laird face, maybe not ALL hope is lost if there's a modicum of Mirage influence? Then again they've got Platinum Dunes design quirks, too. I don't really mind the lack of Shredder, they tend to make him far more important than he's meant to be, but I can't see a TMNT series without ninjas, so... The pizza kryptonite thing is so stupid, it might be funny as a one-off episode but to make that a theme, ugh. I'm one of the few people who really liked Ninja Tribunal so I'm open to mysticism, but this doesn't exactly get me excited for it. But take it all with a grain of salt, I guess. If it is legit, at least there's no nostrils.

so basically trying to either trick us into thinking something that's bad isn't as bad as we thought it was going to look, trying to warm us up to the REAL bad and cheap design.....

or just trolling us. not great either way considering how emotional people get.

I like TTGo! but only in small doses. Cartoon Network pretty much marathons that show everyday, and it's a bit overkill.

Where does the fan hate for that show come from? Probably because folks who were emotionally invested in the original show for its chracterization and storytelling depth feel like they are being cheated with the new show being 100% self parody and self-deprecating humor. I think it has a lot of cleverness, but the enjoyment is limited to what the fan wants going into it. Some probably despise it for being perceived as "lazy animation" (when it's probably more an issue of minimalistic and cartoony character design).

One thing I hate about the show is that many jokes depend upon the titular characters being dumber than reasonable belief, like the one where Beast Boy forgot how to eat food or something for some stupid reason.

I think TTG is funny and well made a lot of times, but it's a goofy show with a lot of hit or miss comedy. Not my ideal choice for TMNT.
