Nice to see Mona Lisa getting in on the action, Also I noticed a reference to Avengers Endgame.

I'm not far gone enough to have any level of appreciation for this sh*tshow of a run, so the answer is clearly yes.

People are way too possessive of fiction.

I mean lets face facts. Do any of us reserve the right to dictate what is and isn't acceptable? Heck, look back on all the fan fiction and RPGs that used to go around. The fan base was once chock full of people making up their own TMNT stories and a good amount of them were even set in the Mirage universe! Man what I'd give to chat with those folks again!

We, as the consumer, absolutely have the right to determine what is acceptable or not. That's how the entire market is structured. People make stuff, and other people decide if they like it or not. It's then up to cretors to give people what they want, or risk losing money.

And comparing this run to fan fiction is not exactly a mark of high praise. Fan fiction in general is not exactly known for producing the best quality work, with a few exceptions. While fans will eventually write for franchises if they go on long enough, if the official work feels like fan fiction, and a bad one at that, then they haven't exactly done a good job. Also, and I feel like this is obvious, the IDW run isn't a fanfic. It's the offical work, and it hasn't been great for a while now. Canon shouldn't feel like it came from a fanfic.

Let's not. 90% of it was the Turtles having a lot of sex with Mary Sue versions of the author(s)... or each other.

Yea and the other 10% were my stories about the Fred Wolf TMNT living with me in the real world

You make some valid points, but I think one thing I keep forgetting to stress in all of this is we all have our different preferences. There are those of us who still enjoy the original 1987 cartoon series, while others consistently give the Mirage comics high praise and both sides tend to cancel each other out. I feel like I'm part of a small minority who likes almost all different iterations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I dunno why it's so hard to go with the multiverse route like DC and Marvel have been doing for years. I mean most comic book properties tend to end up telling a whole bunch of "What If?" stories.

I know what you mean. Why'd they have to go and make her so whiny? She was far more entertaining in the 2012 series, even if they made her into a space alien in that iteration.
