I thought these were some kind of late April fools day joke at first. It still might be a prank that Playmates is playing and tomorrow they will show the real set.

Mixing human faces with the turtles was a mistake. Donnie looks like his bay movie counterpart almost. I don't think anyone has ever said they wanted Bill Murray as a Ninja Turtle at least not like this.

Didn't the concept artists use Murray as reference for PD Mikey? (Tom Hanks was Leo, Eastwood as Raphael and Nimoy as Donnie)

I'm both horrified and amused.

Whose weird idea was it to make them look half like the Ghostbusters characters, rather than just dressing them up in the gear..? I just want Turtles in the gear, not the result of the Ghostbusters guys having had a hot night with Venus once back in '97.

If they want to punk out on the paint aps and NOT include painted eyebrows that would be a start and entirely OKAY.

The outfits and boots are adorable thorough, I'll give it that. Maybe a head swap with a regular figure would work. (Unless this is a big figures line.)

Michelangelo looks like Leisure Suit Larry, and I'm not sure I was ready to see Raph wearing a moustache... they're not THAT bad though... kind'a cute.

They're no joke...there are completed, packaged pics that do not look like protos in the end of the slide show you can view on toynewsi.com.

Also in the pres, Target exclusive.

I bet these are ready to drop at Target come Halloween season and be their offering alongside the Walmart WWE wave 2.

Don is obvs Egon. No other way.
Leo is obvs Ray as Ray was founder and leader.
Mike and Raph...their choices fit for the Nick toon alright but if we wanted to go for the original toon I'd have switched em around since Raph was the more sarcastic one.

I'd have preferred normal turtle heads too. Wonder if we will maybe be able to swap on some other heads easily enough. Maybe from deluxe line Nick heads? Maybe I should grab some of those...hmm...

i was shocked. but i love the concept. these are better than the wrestling figures. its the best of both worlds. i'm so gonna get these. these are just the best surprise ever.

I honestly would rather just the Ghostbusters have been added to the TMNT line, like they did with Usagi and Savage Dragon. The Turtles-dressed-like-other-characters was cool when I was a kid but these are supposed to be the collector's line, no? While I'm guessing a few older fans would like these, I can't imagine the majority would.

This s**t over Krang and Shredder is baffling.
