The Back to the Sewers theme must've won by a landslide back in the day, all the others are pretty mediocre imo. But I do like that unused 2003 one. Thanks for linking this, it was pretty interesting!

Some of you including the guy from the video need a history lesson because the whole Technodrome and turtles fandom had to join in together to agree on which one to choose since among the fandom we all differed. We agreed on one that we thought was ok and had the best chance of winning and mass voted it and actually won.
Believe it or not the awful rap song had the lead in the votes for most of the campaign with stupid kids who didn't know better so the dromers and the turtles fandom had to act quickly to not let the rap theme win. |

Yeah, even though when paired with the animation I find the BTTS theme a bit too hyper and exhausting to watch (surprisingly better this way without the visuals), compared to the other options the right song still won. Thank god you guys that voted saved the show from the others...
The unused 2003 theme is kinda cute though. Wouldn't mind a similar one being used elsewhere someday. |

For anyone interested, here are the credits (per ASCAP) for the songs. I'm not sure which one is which (but #5 is the one which ended up winning).
TMNT S8 THEME DEMO #1 DRDEK MATTHEW FRANCIS GARRITY JOSEPH P ROLFE DAVID KOS SIEGLER JOHN TMNT S8 THEME DEMO #2 GARRITY JOSEPH P KESSLER JOSHUA ALAN TMNT S8 THEME DEMO #3 GARRITY JOSEPH P POPPO JOHN JAMES TMNT S8 THEME DEMO #4 GARRITY JOSEPH P GARROD PHILIP MAC KENZIE HAYS REED K TMNT S8 THEME DEMO #5 GARRITY JOSEPH P VELAZQUEZ RUSSELL GENE TMNT S8 THEME DEMO #6 GARRITY JOSEPH P MOSCHULSKI ALAIN JOHANNES SHARPE WAYNE ARTHUR SHNEIDER NATASHA Back to the Sewer was season 7, wasn't it? Maybe after the abandoned second season of FF they just called BttS "season 8" to not confuse the two. |

Sorry for my long absence, first of all: honestly, I think I needed the time away to clear my head on several levels.
Yeah, I did hear about this video, but never watched/listened to it until now. Yeah, #2 and 3 could've been way better imo, and I'm grateful that #5 won. By the same token, though, I did enjoy the sound of Cyber Shredder (without the vocoder vocals, that is).
