I finally found a 142 set of TMNT miniatures in the 2nd packaging style. I updated this post with the current state and updated images of my DH minis collection. Still looking for 4 sets. Maybe when I'm done I'll try to get an extra set of each to open and paint.
I recently picked up this Scat book because I thought it was cool. Outside of designing the logo and co-founding the book, I don't think Laird had anything to do with this issue. I cleaned up the thread a little and removed some items I've sold or traded. Thanks for looking and happy holidays. Last edited by MrPliggins; 05-09-2020 at 02:22 PM. |

Another new vintage original art addition. Leonardo by Rick McCollum, 1990. Based on his issue of TMNT: volume 1, #37. I don't think this art was ever published. If anyone knows differently, let me know.
I picked it up from a friend at a very fair price. There are really some great people in this community. The piece is pretty large at 14" x 17", so it won't fit in any of my portfolios. I guess it'll have to be a wall piece! Last edited by MrPliggins; 06-22-2020 at 05:54 AM. |

Just added some new blue line coloring pages from the First Graphic Novels. The original watercolors are by Steve Lavigne 1988. A reproduction of the Eastman and Laird linework on acetate is placed over the original paints on each piece. These pages come from the 4th graphic novel:

It's been a while since I updated, but I wanted to share a few new finds.
Talk about rare. In the 20 years I've been looking for the iron-ons, I've only known of 3 Michelangelos to exist unused. I paid a rather high fee to nab this one, but it's worth it to add another to the collection. I still need about 6 or 7 to complete the set. Speaking of which, in an act of similarity, right before I found the above item, I acquired this original piece based on the same art, drawn by Steve Lavigne. What a coincidence. I love the vibrant colors in this one. I also recently picked up this 1985 piece. It was used as a pin-up page in Tales of the TMNT, volume 1, #2, and also drawn by Steve Lavigne. It's based on Frank Miller's style in "The Dark Knight Returns". Thanks for looking. Last edited by MrPliggins; 05-07-2020 at 11:38 AM. |

Great finds dude.
Sounds like your getting closer and closer to completing the set. That will be a great feeling when the day comes.

Thanks man. Yeah it's almost a fool's errand trying to collect all of them, but I do know that at least 1 of every single one exists, so there may be more out there.

Ok, time for an update. While I've been busy working on my Amazing Spider-man run, I've also been getting a few new TMNT items here and there.
I recently acquired some original inking sheets from 1984 and 1985. These are copies of original art that Eastman and Laird used to practice inking and sometimes color. All of these sheets were unused in that respect, so no original art, but they still feature some really cool art! I also recently acquired these 2 pages of art from the final issue of City At War. I love the final story arc of volume 1, and it's great to add a couple more pages to my collection. Also new to the collection are these, 3 more iron-ons from 1985. Pretty cool that 2 of them are variants of ones I already have. Always cool to find new ones of these colossal pains-in-the-ass to find: Check out the current iron-on collection on page 1 of this thread. Let me know if you have any for sale that I don't have. Last but not least, A con sketch from Simon Bisley. Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking. Last edited by MrPliggins; 11-24-2020 at 01:39 PM. |

Could you post a better image of the entire Raphael inking sheet?
