It's hard to believe this franchise is already over 30 years old. It's basically cemented itself as an evergreen property like DC and Marvel superheroes, Star Wars and Star Trek, The Simpsons, Nintendo games, Dragonball, etc.

Happy 33rd anniversary! Hoping that something awesome happens for their 35th or 40th. The 30th anniversary of the turtles didn't feel as special, unlike the 25th anniversary.
Also, it was mentioned in another thread before, but I wonder if there will be something special planned this year for the 20th anniversary of the FW cartoon.

I guess the upcoming 3 part crossover episode of the Nick series will celebrate the 5 year anniversary of their show, the 30th anniversary of the FW series and the 33 year anniversary of turtles as a whole.
I look forward to it, as I'm sure it'll be great and we can look back on this generations of turtles with happiness and pride. The Nick series, the IDW comics, the side projects and even the PD films have provided plenty of great entertainment for all the fans. Its been a great 33 years and I look forward to 2018, especially as it will be the rise of a new turtles show! (hehe) Last edited by FredWolfLeonardo; 05-09-2017 at 07:44 PM. |

Agree it would be nice if there was at least a little something to mark it by the end of the year. (I think it started at the end of the year, right?) Even if it's just a fun short or something by Nick. The collective 30th did feel kind of big to me though. I'd only come back to TMNT the year before so it was nice to be back in time for a lot of stuff and glad Nick hooked me in time. |

It's awesome to know that this franchise has lasted this long and that it will continue to live on no matter what.

The 30th anniversary book was a real treat.
Maybe we'll get another one for the 35th anniversary. |

I just finished going through season 8 of the 80s series in celebration and it was alot of fun! I'm thinking of finishing the whole FW series again before the end of the year when turtles forever 2 comes out.

May the next year or so be a whole lot better than the last few.
I mean, yikes.

In 50 years, we will see a grandpa arguing with his children and grandkids over which version of TMNT was the best.

Look forward to it. The only thing to look forward to being so old. Plus an increase in senior Turtle art. lol
I think they'll probably stick around. Hard not to love them and with the continuing addition of new generations...the generation that lets them die will be, well, the most terrible generation, dammit. |

And it can be like a competition for who can live long enough to rewatch the whole thing. "Oh, [insert user name] is out, I heard he/she keeled over this morning with only five episodes to go! So close!" |
