Got hankering to play Symphony of the Night again after all of these years for some reason, and so I'm doing so on Vita.

Just got to the inverted castle tonight.

I grabbed Samus Returns as well, and I will snag the final two of the four Amiibos tomorrow morning at my local Target.

I've played for about 1.5 hours and it's harder than Super Metroid for sure, but the new mechanics are really innovative and make gameplay quite satisfying.

I too got the Metroid: Samus Returns special edition yesterday. I got up early in hopes of getting the amiibo too, but no dice. Best Buy and Gamestop only had pre-orders, which was really disappointing. My brother then came home after work and said he was only able to find 1 at Target and I was feeling pretty butthurt in all honesty because I was up early, didn't think to check out Target, and assumed stores weren't carrying stock after what happened with Best Buy and Gamestop. So I called the Target near my house and they only had one available and they were able to hold it for me. That was so lucky, especially because it was around 7pm when I called.

Anyway, I got to play some Metroid and I'm digging it so far. I still haven't fully adapted to the new mechanics, but I am liking the changes. The 3D also looks very stunning. Probably the best looking 3D of any of the other 3DS games I've played. It even has this one effect that I expected to see more of when the 3DS launched, when you kill an enemy with the ice beam, you see ice chunks fly towards the screen and it looks so cool.

I don't know, since I have the original 3DS that doesn't support Amiibos

They unlock artwork, give you reserve tanks, and an extra difficulty above hard mode called Fusion Mode which has you wearing the Metroid Fusion suit.

I'm playing Hey, Pikmin on 3DS. The game is fun as hell, anyone who loves Pikmin should give it a try. It's the 2D Pikmin game I always wanted since back in the GBA or DS days but we never got until now. It has the same puzzle type gameplay as the main series where you have to figure out paths to collect 3 treasures in each stage.

Hey, Pikmin is not a cheap cash-grab, it's a well done 2D Pikmin game on 3DS. Shame a lot of people overlooked it.

Metroid Samus Aran & Metroid amiibo set

I ordered this from Wal-Mart's site. I got notification through text of a delivery this morning, right when I arrived at work as a matter of fact. The notification said it was left at my door. So later on, I asked my supervisor if I could go home because I had an emergency at home, and she let me. So when I got home, there was no package at my door. So I went down to the lobby of my building and it was left in one of the parcel lockers there. Now if the notification said it was left in a parcel locker, I wouldn't have been so worried. Anyway I took the package up to my apartment and opened it. Then I went back to work.

I still can't believe I'm collecting these things.

I just played through Metroid Zero-Mission & had the time of my life. So fun. I read all 16 issues of the manga which detail Samus' origin afterward, it's SO good. Seriously, if you're a Metroid fan but haven't read it, I implore you to do so. Insanely good art with a surprisingly powerful/brutal story.

Now I'm gonna play every other Metroid game 'cause I'm feeling the kick.

Just finished Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. Had it on PS3 but completed it on PC after a 90% discount from Steam.

Fantastic game and very sad. Comes highly recommended.

Been playing through the classic Generation 1 and 2 Pokemon games for more than a month now. Red, Yellow and Crystal.

Finished Yellow over a week ago and I aim to finish the other two games so I
can trade in between them and get all 151 Pokemon in Yellow, my first game.

So far I'm at 138/151, can't wait to complete the Pokedex

It will take very long though, since I'll have to complete all of Pokemon Crystal to get Magmar after I finish collecting every Pokemon except for it and Vaporeon in Red and Yellow. Not to mention training a Dragonair to evolve is a real pain

I'm about 7 hours in to Samus Returns, and I wanna know if anyone else had problems with a certain section.

Spoiler:
There's this huge mining robot that comes after you and you gotta run from it while going through obstacles. The last part got me in the same mood as some old NES games did, when i just wanted to bite the controller. Luckily I value my gaming systems a bit more now. I got the same kind of feeling finally beating it like I got from beating Ludwig in Bloodborne. Please no spoilers about what's coming next, or comments like "if you think that's bad, just wait when you see blah blah."

The Zero Suit Samus amiibo came in the mail today. The plastic casing was mashed up for some reason, but I managed to straighten it out some.

Now here are all four of my Metroid amiibos together.

I also ordered a stylus for the New 3DS XL with the amiibo since I lost the original stylus somewhere.

I am playing ECHO. It is the first game from a new developer, ULTRA ULTRA. The founders were ex IO interactive emplyoess who worked on Hitman. It takes place on another planet where a girl space traveller En is exploring a alien palace and try to avoid clones of herlesf that the palace creates. See gameplay of it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3QRlY2TjKTA It is a stealth game so if you are not oe of my foot ninjas i recomend not play it . But for me master of nijitu is to easy. Graphics are also amazing on max settings 1440 p. So far i like it.

Been playing Overwatch the past few days and I'm surprised at how good I actually am at that game. Normally bad at first person shooters.
